I may be a little late with this, but I just decided earlier this week to go after all. The reason I didn't think I could attend was because I couldn't afford it. But that was counting without Girl6, who has now made me a very happy person :)

However, since it'll still be very expensive, flying in from Europe and all, I wouldn't mind pinching a few bucks off the hotel price by shacking up with some other poor skeptic.

So if you wouldn't mind sharing a room with a nice Belgian fella, don't be shy and let me know, because time is really running out now :(

(Girls can apply, but I have to warn you that although I am a gentleman, I'm also a single guy in his twenties :D)

Hey, I'd love a pajama party, but I won't be going...

Well, I have a rather unorthodox idea. I'm sure you guys are not surprised about that! ;)

Perhaps if some of the other people who are sharing rooms would consider having you share with them, that might drive the cost down even further.

I'm sure that the hotel can provide some 3rd small cot or something.

So? Anyone willing to crowd up even more? :)

The rooms are all suites, so I would assume you could get a room with two beds and it would also have a couch, which may even open up into another bed. I don't know if there is a surcharge for a third person in the room though....there may be.

If my roommate doesn't mind, then I don't either. You can try sending clinttaylor (the aforementioned roommate) a PM to see what he thinks.

How can I find out from distant Belgium? For that matter, how do I make the reservation in case it's not possible to bunk 3 people in a room, since I find nothing on their website about reserving rooms. Or do I just give you even more work by adding my hotel reservations to your To Do list :(
Ugh! Why did I have to wait until the last minute to think about all this ...

I have a two-bed room bookmarked for 4 nights, Jan 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th.

I'm in urgent need to reduce costs, so I'd be glad to split hotel expenses with you.

I'm a quiet, clean, non-smoking guy, just a few years older than you :D. I snore sometimes, though. So I'm told.

A 10% alc Belgian beer would be a very welcome present

I asked about a surcharge when reserving my room, and was told that there is a $10/night charge for each person after the first two.

You can look at the virtual tour (http://www2.tuscanylasvegas.com/vtour/pan_doublesuite.html) of the room to see the couch. It does not appear to pull out into a bed, but there may be room for a roll-away bed.

And the fact you're staying that extra night on Sunday works out perfectly. I'll finally be able to sleep at night again, knowing that the hotel situation is finally settled :o

EM: I have checked out the virtual tour, and all I really noticed was that humongous(sp?) 8-person table ...

I wouldn't mind at all. Especially if it means the difference between someone attending or not. Just let P_L or myself know.

I checked on it earlier as a possibility for a group coming from the LA area to share. It looked great because of the dining table and the roomy common area between the bedrooms. Each bedroom has one king-sized bed, so it will only sleep 8 for really good friends.

There are only 4 of them in the hotel, and are normally reserved for high-rollers. They are also not eligible for the TAM discount, and so are economical only for a party of 8, including the $10 per person surcharge.

Now I see that other people have jumped on my way. That's the wonders of the free, open and competitive markets :D. The choice is yours, no drama!! :). In all fairness, I must say that Pirate Lad and Clint are noble competitors :)

I've been away for the weekend and just got back today.

Anyway, I think it would be easier to share a room with Patricio - who is (was) still looking for a roommate anyway - than to trouble Clinttaylor and Pirate_Lad with a third roommate, who would then have to sleep on the couch.
Thanks a lot for offering though, I really appreciate that :)

Thanks all. I've been contacted by someone willing to share. She even grew up in this area! Unless you want to be subjected to all night gossip-fest, you may want to steer clear....

[asking very politely]

Er, are there still any people willing to share a room, please?

I don't want to sound too dumb, but accommodation in LV is the one thing I've managed to forget to arrange until now.

I arrive in LV on Thursday at 1310, and will be there until after the end of TAM. I'm happy to look after my own accommodation after TAM.

Relevant details: single male, Australian, don't smoke or snore, also known as Peter B on the BABB (but not here - another certain Peter B got that handle).

If anyone has any questions, please PM or email me.

Thanks very much

Hi folks, me again.

Thanks to the generosity of one TAMmer, I've been provisionally offered a bed for the duration of TAM. Unfortunately, this isn't absolutely certain. So my benefactor and I have agreed that it might be best if I make a second request for assistance.

Something I should have made clearer first time around is that I'll very happily pay my share of the costs for this.

Any offers gratefully accepted by PM or email.

Thanks very much
