Someone's sent me a file in Clarisworks format, I think (.cwk). I don't have anything that can open it, and they're not available to resend it in a different format.
Do you know of a viewer or conversion program that will work on Windows? Just to be able to extract the text would be fine, nothing fancy required!
Thanks!

On closer inspection, it appears that most of the text appears in a fairly plaintext way within the document. In the absence of a reliable converter, does anyone know if this is all of the text?
Thanks again!

Somewhere amongst our incredible pile of computer museum software, I have a Windows version of ClarisWorks on two diskettes. This means I MAY be able to do a read/conversion...
Are there not converters in MS Word anyway? jj?

Word does have converters, but doesn't appear to have one for ClarisWorks. Having said that, I'm sure I remember seeing one on an earlier version. Ah well!
Don't worry about spending time digging anything up, Zep, I think I've managed to extract most of the text anyway. But thanks!

You might have missed embedded tables, pictures and so on.
I can, of course, offer you my help as I am an owner of AppleWorks 6 and either check if there are some parts which you have missed or even try to convert it to an Office format.

Very kind, M'Lord!
Can you PM me an email address, and I'll send it along, with many thanks in advance.

Somewhere amongst our incredible pile of computer museum software, I have a Windows version of ClarisWorks on two diskettes . . .
I realize this is a thread from half a decade ago BUT . . .
I'm in a bind and I really need a copy of this! The software has long been discontinued so I can't buy it anywhere.
I tried PM'ing Zep but he doesn't accept messages. :jaw-dropp
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't seen Zep around on the JREF for a while. He is active over at the http://nch.ipbfree.com/ forum.
I've PM'ed him there with this posting. Maybe he'll get back to you.
