Anyone else tired of allusions to McGovern in tv/print stories about Howard Dean? Almost makes you think Hillary was on to something with that vast right wing conspiracy kookery.

Well, a search on news.google.com for articles containing both dean and mcgovern only returned 300 hits. Maybe I'm wrong. I wish there was a way to index how many times its said on cable news.

Wait, I thought there was a liberal bias in the media???

Yeah, I'm tired of it and it's not all that great of a comparison. I think this started as a result of Dean's vocal opposition to Iraq and his run to the left during the primaries.

When Dean gets the nomination, he'll run back towards the center (where he belongs) and we won't hear McGovern's name anymore.

But come this summer, we might start hearing comparisons to Walter Mondale...
