First Congress Members Criticized Auto Executives’ Corporate Jet Travel (http://blogs.wsj.com/autoshow/2008/11/19/congress-members-criticize-auto-executives-corporate-jet-travel/) and the corporate big wigs blamed their insurance providers.

Then Congress orders $500 million in new jets for themselves (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0809/26000.html). When they are then critisized they blame the pentagon even though THEY VOTED FOR THE FUNDING.

Murtha was quick to point out that these jets, approved by the full House last month, were not additions to the current group of 24 executive aircraft already used for top officials, and were being purchased to replace older ones that have maintenance and safety issues. Murtha, buddy, work with me on this one... SELL THE *********** JETS and fly on commercial planes, you know, like you told the corporate execs to do. Or are you somehow better than everyone else.

"Just you wait" they said, "trust us", put the Dems in power and you will see real reform. So I voted for them. First time in my life I voted only for Democrats.

Sure, sure. Principled and all, "but mommy it's johny's fault. I know I said yes but it was his idea." *********** babies.

Oh, BTW, had the Repubs been in power they would have happily signed off on the $500 million, no problem. I'm not an us vs them kinda guy anymore when it comes to political parties. That's just kool-aid for the common man. Us vs them is really the politicians vs the people and they win because we buy their spin and think they care more about principle than their rear-ends.

Ah, yes, but politicians are REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PEOPLE, they are flying in private just on missions of charity and democracy -- not like those greedy CEOs.
