I have problems seeing randi.org and the symptoms perplex me. As of about 6 months ago:

randi.org stopped existing from all 4 computers on my home network, using Firefox and IE on XP and Vista.
When I connect to my client's VPN from one of these computers, randi.org exists.
The support person at my provider (Comcast) is able to see randi.org. (First she asked "Is this one of those sort of sites?" :))
When I connect via Boingo hotspot, I can see randi.org for a minute or two, the pages without doubt are not coming from cache, then it goes away. (Unless I connect to VPN). Ditto from most hotel rooms.
I can't imagine this has to do with randi.org. (hence the thread here; mods feel free to move)

Puzzling, eh?

Can you ping randi.org? Can you ping 67.228.115.46?

Some of the symptom remind me of a computer which was "rooted" and the trojaner was stopping/re routing traffic fom antivirus web site. But rerouting randi.org make no sense so....

Hmm, I had wondered about some sort of virus (or even just a rogue hosts file entry), but the fact that it's visible for a minute and then disappears, and the fact that it's the same on four machines, makes me doubt that.

Sounds like something is re-routing your DNS, but not right away. Do you have router that acts as a DNS server? I would clear that out as it would be common to all machines. Your ISP itself, which I assume does your DNS may also be having problems, try manually setting your DNS to a public server.
