View Full Version : Have you noticed this type of American propaganda?

Have you noticed that the imperialist Western media, particlarly those of
America, call China capitalist when they speak of China's growth, and they
call China communist when they speak negatively about its policies, just
like the Nazis did with regard to the Soviet Union? Have you noticed that in
Imperialist history books on China, when talking about anything negative
about Chinese history (which they are so bent on focusing upon), they
refer to China as "Communist China", but when they wish to say anything
positive about China (though this is rare), they choose to simply call it
"China"? They almost never fail to do this. This is a very subtle, but
very effective, type of propaganda which the US imperialists in particlar
are wont to employ. It is effective because it associates in the minds of the
people the idea of Communism with negative things, and the idea of
Capitalism with positive things, and it does all this implicitly but most
efficiently.
We must stand up against U$ imperialist propaganda, and all the
other evils which are connected with Capitalism. Oppose and fight
against this haven of Imperialist aggression and tyranny, which
we so humbly call "America". As long as America continues to
sadistically hold down and subjugate the toiling masses, mankind
will always be in chains and can never be liberated from
oppression and exploitation. Death to America! http://www.ozemail.com.au/~micd/shoot.gifhttp://www.ozemail.com.au/~micd/patriot.gif

Whatever your motivation, in the year 2003 you need to understand the term "perceived threat" and what it means when you say such things in a place like this.

Probably no more so than your excessively inflammatory declaration was. And can there be any doubt that such a reaction is your intended result? You know, so you can feel threatened and oppressed, as is the communist way? Sheesh, you're like a battered wife who keeps going back to her drunk husband.

This is what happens when you can't shock your parents with tattoos and piercings any more. I'll lay odds he even joined a grunge band, hoping for some kind of attention. Next stop: a sex change in Sweden. STOP THE MADNESS!

Have you ever noticed your need to refer to any country that you don't like as "imperialists", but fail to attach that label to countries that you like, yet seek to annex land? I have never once heard you add the label "imperialist" to north korea, even though they wish to annex south korea. I'm not even sure what land the US is after, the schedule for giving control back to the Iraqi's keeps speeding up, as loss of american life their becomes increasingly less popular.

Just a technicality here: People on both North and South Korea want a unified country. It's a bit like saying the Civil War Union wants to annex the South.
Similar also to China and Taiwan. However, Taiwan wants to become indepedent, so it would become an annexation.
Now, real annexation by the communists occured when the Soviets marched through East Europe.

*Thats* a reliable source of information. I think thats the same site that touts the medicale miracle stone. And anyway, it has nothing to do with your point. The south most definately does not want to reunify under Kim Jong Il's government. They do not want the unification that the north wants. The unification would want to unify under a government more like the south korean government. Their family and friends are across the border starving, not for lack of food, but because of a brutal dictator, of course they want to help

True, I was flashing back to when Gore Videl called William Buckley a "crypto-nazi" and Buckley said Buckley said something like "if you call me a nazi again, you goddam faggot, I'll knock your teeth down your throat" or something like that.
I also find it interesting that the "workers" chose their country over some silly notion of "worker solidarity" at the outset of WW1. This illustrates a point that I have made repeatedly to Ian, that evidence trumps some silly logic or in this case some absurd ideology.
Yours in solidarity, comrad.:D

Huz - welcome back; I like that you've started ten threads in the last two days. I am also certain that you will abandon these threads after being shown that you're wrong - as you having the past - because you are a coward.
Let's rewind to the thread "Kim Jong Il is a genius," shall we? Here's my post that you never bothered replying to:
"Let me be frank here and risk gettting "reported" by saying first that you are dumb. I never said Canada was a bastion of free speech; on the contrary, I find that most industrialized countries have pretty awful histories of protected speech, including the United States and Canada. Canada's Hate Law is clearly at odds with the spirit of free speech, and the United States government is often opposed to the same thing. I know of exactly zero countries that score 100% on the LFTKBS Free Speech Index.
However, just because no countries fully support what should be a fundamental human right does not prove or support your point.
Canada's Hate Law is inherently undemocratic. The Sedition Act? Undemocratic. USA PATRIOT Act? Undemocratic.
Now, answer my question: you claim to support democracy, yet find the restriction of speech to be an acceptable solution to certain dilemmas. This is illogical. Either a) you have a profoundly ignorant idea of what democracy is supposed to be, b) you have no idea what you're talking about, or c) you're a troll.
A lot of people on the forum are saying c; I happen to think a & b. We'll find out eventually, so keep those posts a-comin'!"
P.S. Don't forget to not reply.

Frank, that's not a picture of a monkey humping a robot.
That's a picture from an experiment on bonding. The monkey has been raised with that "robot", as the caption reads, as its mother. It has nipples that secrete milk, and a heated cloth covering. In the background of the picture is an alternative mother, made of wire, also with nipples. Some monkeys were raised with that as their "mother".
The monkey in this picture has just been startled, and has run to, and clung to its "mother" for protection.
Monkeys raised in isolation, with only these pseudo parents to interact with do not adapt well to exposure to other monkeys.
I've seen film of this experiment a few times, and I find it really disturbing to watch terrified little monkeys clinging to wire parental representations, when exposed to a group of normally behaved siblings.
This digression has nothing to do with the thread, but apparently, neither does the thread's author.
