Why can't they point out that almost half the US-led new Iraqi Army has _not_ deserted (http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/2003-12-13-iraq_x.htm)?

It's basicly a debate on whether the glass is half full or half empty. It's a litmus test on whether your a liberal leftist or a True American Patriot.

Seriously: the media isn't interested if it's not going to raise revenue. Revenue is raised via advertising, which is brought by rates. What brings higher rates? Controversy.
