TAM II Travel Plans

With 32 days to go before TAM II, I thought I'd start a thread for people to post their travel plans so we can meet at airports, get seats together on Southwest, get shuttle rides to/from the airport (http://www.randi.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28700), etc. In other words, we can make the trips to and from TAM2 more enjoyable.

My plans are to fly out of Manchester, NH, on Southwest, at 0720 on 14 January, and arrive in LV at 1025. Then I leave Las Vegas on Southwest at 1425 on 19 January. How does that mesh with other area skeptics' plans?

We are driving from Carson City, NV on Thursday, the 15th. I don't think anyone will be coming from our direction unless the people in the Bay Area are planning coming through N. NV first, but I doubt that.

I'm flying out from Charlotte with a layover in Atlanta. The flight to Vegas leaves Atlanta at 8:33am.

Returning by A.C. on the Sunday afternoon flight.

Since the BA is letting you down...I just realized we arrive at LV with a few minutes of one another (9:47 pm for me). If you think you´re going to feel lonely, we could meet at the airport (I´d be willing to wait) and share a taxi to the Tuscany.

For people who are coming early- may I suggest a thread with some tentative plans? Perhaps some of us can meet up Tuesday/Wednesday, and explore the town together.

We can also exchange contact information, or a way to get in touch with each other in Vegas. I will move from another hotel to Tuscany on Wednesday, so Tuscany may not be the place to locate everyone.

So far, early birds are- budddyh, Finella, Marc and PeterB- in addition to myself. I also thought Brown mentioned he was coming early, as did Electric Monk and Wyvern, and the TAM organizers.

48 hours from the time of this post I expect to be in Las Vegas marveling at the lights blocking all stars from being seen at night while I'm attempting to drive to the hotel and check in so I can get some sleep before Thursday.

I'm getting in VERY late tonight! Not only am I perhaps one of the oldest skepchicks I am going to LOOK it tonight...

I am also suffering from a malady known as "Taco Bell Tummy"...should be an interesting couple of flights since I am known for my weak flying tum anyway. So, if you see a pathetic white faced older woman who is staggering in followed by a Pool Boy that is STILL complaining about the amount of luggage (I've got one bag filled with skepchick t shirts) - just turn away. I'll try to pull myself together after a good nights sleep.

I´m arriving very late tomorrow - after having been travelling for about 24 hours and suffering a major case of jetlag...
So if you see a young, bleary-eyed man on the verge of falling asleep while walking, continually rubbing his ribs bruised by Girl 6´s hug, and being accompanied by the aforementioned skepchick...yeah, that´s me.
