Well, it turns out we human beings are somehow predisposed to being irrational, illogical, overly emotional and in need of pathologically lying in order to prop up our previously held beliefs regardless of the facts.

I can't believe it's true. Nay! I refuse to believe it's true! These Nazi-Fascist-Communist-Hippie-New Age-moron sociologists are just conspiring to make us doubt ourselves. They want to control our minds and fill it with some horrible agenda to make us all homosexual-BDSM-pedophile-atheist robots. Don't listen to them, don't so it or you'll be sucked in by their so-called "facts."

(Channelling Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz"):

Belief is stronger than truth,
Belief is stronger than truth,
Belief is stronger than truth,
Belief is stronger than truth,
Belief is stronger than truth,
Belief is stronger than truth,
Belief is stronger than truth.....

I dunno if it is rubbish or not but that one is interresting :

Helth care reform misunderstanding (http://www.livescience.com/environment/090824-healthcare-myths.html)

Naturally as many poll the suspicion is very high on my part that the WORDING of the question might have "led" the answer, but it seem there is wildly differing answer proportion depending on the political view of the respondent...

Did you read the comments people posted after reading those articles? How does one read an article on that type of thinking, then display that type of thinking immediately afterword?

The answer to that question is contained in the article. Asking someone to approach something logically when it runs counter their previously held beliefs and political ideologies is almost the same as asking them to fly: impossible.

Sigh.

Gord examines his signature and shakes his head sadly.

PS. Watch out for flying pig poop. :duck:
