These two acts limited immigration to the USA based on each nation's immigrant numbers in the USA in 1890 and 1920.

This basically limited most immigration to people from the British Isles and Germany.

Folks who were desperate to flee Communist Eastern Europe, Holocaust survivors, and other refugees, could not come to the USA in large numbers.

This was all overturned in 1965 with the help of Senator Edward Kennedy.

Were these two immigration acts good for the USA? Were they fare?
