Stars would be falling from the skies; the skies would be covered in darkness... I guess it is what it is referring to.
Personally, as a rule of thumb, I stay clear away from people quoting the Revelation seriously.

There is often an attempt to put the imagery of revelation into current context, to show it is near. In this case of the person making the winter/summer statement, it sounds like he is in the camp of equating the imagery to nuclear war and nuclear winter, which has been the popular view for a couple decades now.

Oh, I think he made a mistake. You need to wear sunscreen to avoid burning.

I've honestly never heard that before. Then again the only difference here between winter and summer is about 25 degrees (good old mediterranean climate...).
By the way is your curiosity blue or yellow?

May be hearing the "global warming" angle soon, if someone isn't peddling it already. Although, with North Korea as a nuclear power, and Iran on the way, the possibility of nuclear events does seem to be notching upward.

In the last days actors shall be as common folk and common folk shall be as actors (reality tv).
In the last days song will be without melody (rap music).
In the last days immodesty will be held as a virtue (celebrity sex tapes, celebrity snatches caught on film, Pee Wee Herman).

Fimbulvetr--there will be three straight years of very nasty winter before Ragnarok. I may be thinking of the wrong apocalypse though.

Great. Tell him when the two become indistinguishable, you'll be right there in the pew next to him. Till then ......

That's what I am thinking. Also, anytime I try to argue the Bible with him and say " but Travis, how do you know for a fact everything in this book is the truth?" he replies "because the Bible says so" >.>
It is the same thing when I ask him " what if it isn't true?" he replies " there are no IF's JACOB! It is the truth!!"

Yeah, I used to think it was a bad thing that I actually don't know. But I figure you become wiser not knowing, than already knowing the "truth".

Actually no. I hadn't heard of that until you just posted it. I started thinking of some Swedish films.

I'm not big on my Book of Revelation, but a couple of quick searches via Biblegateway.com (which is a pretty nice online resource for these kinds of things) returned nothing on "winter" or "summer". Perhaps the concept is supposed to be that during the day we'll be boiled and at night we'll freeze; that whole hell on Earth.
But there is no direct support for summer and winter being indistinguishable.
I'd wager your friend heard it from someone else, and is just parroting. Ask him/her to cite chapter and verse, and maybe we can shed some light.

Tell him to read verse one of Revelation.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John,
And verse 3 states that "the time is near." It's obvious that the person who wrote this was convinced that the second coming would occur during his lifetime.

I think the JW's believe that the seasons were constant, balmy and springlike due to the water canopy which blanketed the atmosphere. I seem to remember a reference to pre-flood times in Revelation which they could be referring too. I can't look it up though because I have a virus on my memory stick which I keep the bible on at work!
If that is the case then you can go down the "water canopy is impossible" line of argument possibly? Following up with the "Flood story is Bat Hooey" argument of course! :)

Seeing as Bible prognostications that are:
Before the fact
Verified
are few and far between, I will make a real, testable prognostication.
Assuming what he says is in The Bible, it's clear this biblical reference talks about a day in the future after teleportation is invented, and people can teleport from the mountains to the sea, or the winter half of the planet to the summer half in an instant.
As such technology is not on the intermediate horizon, I wouldn't worry about the "end days".
