Riding the success of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and coming out September 15th, is Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jZVE5uF24Q).
I hadn't realized they had made trailers for these books. There were a number of "mash-ups" for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, but I'm not certain anything official.

Sweet. I heard PP&Z signed a movie deal a month or two ago. If that does as well as the book we may see a variety of similar knock-offs in years to come. I'll pick up S&S&S simply because I thought PP&Z was so well done. We'll see.

See, if they'd done this to the classics in high school, I might have been more interested in reading them. :)

I hear the author is now working on "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter". A bit of a departure from adding text to old classic literature, but intriguing nonetheless.
I think he's found a goldmine of a book formula.

I wonder how the Ninja-adherents are taking the news of being replaced with vampires and zombies?

Well, I for one was hoping for "Sense and Ninjabilities" and instead got a giant octopus. I'll have to reserve judgment til I read the book, tho.

But there are ninjas in PPZ. Elizabeth carves them nicely.:D

I can't wait for Crime and Punishment and Bears (had to do a Colbert reference)

I must confess that I was disappointed by P&P&Z. Yes I think it's a genius idea and yes I think it's a goldmine but I thought the actual execution was lacklustre and formulaic.
The only real departure was the Mr Colins and his wife story thread which made me laugh. Generally though the interweaving of the zombie\ninja themes was heavy handed and... well... just too obviously pasted in.
OH! And my real gripe: The scene where the forest animals are scared out of the woods by an approaching zombie horde. Can't remember exactly what they were right now, but it was something like a skunk, beaver, elk, bald eagle and coyote. Now Zombies in Berkshire I can cope with, but this American menagerie really got my goat!
Great idea though!

That's one curiously formed Suspension of Disbelief you have there!
But, I confess I read that passage and had a similar thought: "do they have those in England?" I opted for "well, I s'pose they do" and forgot about it.
I thought the overall addition of zombies was clever and well done. My only real complaint with the book was the ending with graphic depictions of Wickham's incontinence. It felt a bit too sophomoric and "phoned in". But, then again, this is a book that turns a piece of classic literature into a zombie violence fest.
