The evil bastard in me thinks this is hysterical.

It is the news no child wants to hear - and certainly not from the mouth of a vicar.

Youngsters at a Christmas carol service were devastated when the Reverend Lee Rayfield told them Santa Claus was dead.

Even parents at the service in Maidenhead, Berkshire, were shocked to hear Mr Rayfield say it was scientifically impossible for Father Christmas to deliver so many presents so quickly. Well, it certainly is refreshing to see a vicar who only believes in scientifically possible people like Jesus.

This was discussed thoroughly last year when the article was actually new, wasn't it? ;)

So Santa's delivering the presents is scientifically impossible...

And God creating the universe in 6 days is scientifically possible...

The reindeer's survival is scientifically impossible...

And the book of Job is scientifically and historically accurate in every way...

Evolution and a 4.5 billion year old Earth are impossible (despite the scientific evidence)...

Talking snakes are scientifically possible...

Brain... turning to... mushy stuff... must... seek... hammer!... kill brain!...

I've noticed the way even the most Fundamentalist Fundies will use "scientific and historical evidence" to prove how the bible is true, yet deny the evolution. Amazing the way "selective thinking" is nowadays...

So it sounds like he was quoting the old physics lesson about what it would take to actually be able to deliver all those presents in 36 hours.

Still kinda funny.

You can track Santa as he delivers those presents:

Ergo, he exists. Show me the footage of Jesus. Well? Go on!
