Since we all are figting over Saddam, is treatment, how he should and should not be handled, etc. . .
Can we at least FIRST get an agreement on what the GC says (or doesn't say) about Saddam?

That's a rough go....any experts in international treaty law here??
There are so many interpretations of which accords are even applicable, Thee Geneva accords, the Nuremberg accords, the UN charter declarations of human rights, the International Court at the Hague, ...ect.
That is the main reason the US didn't sign on to the World Court jurisdiction, Tommy Franks or Pres. Bush could be charged under it's charter as war criminals, for civilian's killed , bla, bla. I think the war and it's aftermath were ill motivated and ill conceived, prosecuted brilliantly, and to think that G.Bush and Gen. Franks could be in the same peril as Saddam is ridicules.
