LAGOS (AFP) - A traditional doctor in central Nigeria has been shot dead by a patient who was testing the potency of an anti-bullet charm the herbalist had prepared for him, police told AFP.
Ashi Terfa died when patient Umaa Akor fired a gun at his head two weeks ago in south-central Benue state, police spokesman Bode Fakeye said Wednesday. ...

I think it's safe to assume this particular charletan was of the delusional, rather than the fraudulent, variety.

Wait a minute. Doesn't the bullet have to be placed in escrow first for the charm to work? Or am I thinking of something else?

Who provided the gun ?
If the doctor did, there is another possibility other than stupidity.

Actually, the charm does work. Problem was all the negative vibrations from the patient ruined the effectiveness.

Fortunately people who would fire a gun at someone will hardly ever have negative vibrations towards them...

If only more people had the courage of their convictions in this way.
To paraphrase Victor Kyam (sp ?) "I liked the product so much, i ended up byuying the farm" :D

Sigh... if only the world had more skeptics like Umaa Akor willing to test the efficacy of woo woo products rather than just purchase and consume them.

Dummy---Anti-bullet charms don't work at close range.
Reminds me somebody's "So many cults, not enough comets" sig.
Nah, that's too harsh.

Oops, he forgot to use the gun with the blanks in it.:D
Actually, blanks can also be dangerous. I read an article a while back about a woowoo religious dumbass (not the pastor but a layperson, I believe) who was giving a sermon at his church one fine sunday and, for effect I guess, pulled out a handgun loaded w/ blanks, put it to his head, and pulled the trigger. Unfortunately for this bright bulb, a piece of the blank's shell casing was shot out, penetrated his skull and killed him.
