Distributed processing at JREF?

So we hope the $3500 comes through and the forum's technical atherosclerosis can be fixed by a server transplant. Fine.

But I know from many comments on the board that the members have access to more computer processing power than some third world countries.

Is there any way to use this resource to spread the load?

I'm already running the Google Compute thing. I've stuck it on a couple of friends computers, and my parents'. I also stuck it on a couple at work, but I got a bollocking for it, and had to remove it.

My team, Rattus Maximus, (not actually a team, but you know what I mean) is about the 2500th in the league.

You would do better going straight to folding_at_home's site for the client, and join a team (JREF?). Be warned: the work unit requirements are pretty stiff… they're unused if late.

I don't think the forum duties can be distributed.
