Remember, it's the economy, stupid.
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Good news on the U.S. economy piled up on Thursday with a quartet of reports showing a fall in claims for jobless benefits and a surprise surge in regional manufacturing that bodes well for the entire nation.

Colgate-Palmolive. Announced a ~$700 million acquisition of an oral care company based in Switzerland today and our stock tanks - guess Wallstreet didn't like it.

Actually I read an interesting article on the toothpaste wars between C-P & P&G (I think). About the lengths they have to go to just to eek out miniscule gains in market share. (new flavors, packaging, etc...)

Yes, we battle with them for leadership in the U.S. - we had the lead for several years after launching Total (first ever toothpaste approved by FDA for plaque and gingivitis - have to crow a bit as I had a hand in the development). But they just regained the lead by a few tenths of a share a month ago. Bastards! But we still win the war, and smoke 'em globally - no one approaches our 40+ global market share.

Now for the bad economic news:
- I blew a month's rent on christmas gifts for people I'm not fond of.
- This chick who is tramping me to pay bills decided she is a girlfriend and not my girlfriend.
- The cork-screw vending machine stole 80 cents from me, and mocked my personal tragedy with a stuck-but-dangling NutRageous bar.

Surely for a man of your great wealth numbers 1 and 3 are a mere bagatelle and in my experience the truly wealthy have no problems acquiring biddable ladies.
You know, I'm beginning to suspect that your claims to be the second Croesus may have been somewhat exaggerated.
