This is apparently tied to the court decision that is due the next day, Sept 28.

Well, at least they've moved on from JAQing off.
True.
But this is going to solve the problems with the petition how?
[(I) federal government had jurisdiction over an investigation into the September 11,2001 -attacks and establishing a local commission far exceeded the proper scope and purpose of the petition process of the MHRL;
(ii) the petition failed to provide adequate financing plan for the Commission as required under the MHRL;
(iii) the method of designating Commissioners did not comply with state laws relating to election or appointment of public officers as well as residency requirements of New York City;
(iv) the Petition overreaches in its attempt to confer law enforcement and prosecutorial powers; and
(v) the subject of the proposed amendment to the Charter does not relate to an existing Charter provision as required under the MHRL 5 37]

It makes a twisted kind of sense from their point of view.
Since they can't figure out such hardcore complexities like how to submit a legally valid petition they figure a march, or demonstration, or something will make the Democracy Fairy come down, wave a magic wand, and grant their wishes.
If these people ever found somebody retaining enough sanity to effectively lead and organize they could be dangerous. I mean, it's like they pieced together how to run a movement from the back of sugar packets. Not one of them has the first clue how to go about it, so they concoct a bunch of spurious feelgood half-measures destined to keep them in a state of perpetual -but oddly hopeful- failure.

Did anyone watch DSGLOP videos on youtube were he followed a truth movement rally around someplace in Canada?
It was hilarious! The twoofers even begged the police to get him to leave them alone.
It would be great if someone could piss on the parade of this rally too...

I watched DSGLOP's videos, Im always disapointed by him though since he usually just says everyones an idiot and cant answer some of their questions properly. I know live debates are harder but he regularly seems to show he doesnt know enough. He couldnt answer the question about Bin Laden not being wanted by the FBI for example. To me it shows he hasnt debated enough in order to find out the answers in order to know the answers to tell these guys.
He also doesnt sound too sure of himself relying on saying "seriously" and "you've been disproven" and "you're idiots". I'd much rather see a Mark Roberts video with lots of truthers, I know about his Ground Zeros but I want to see more!

Oh crap. Sorry, we're backed up in the NWO uniform procurement department. You should be getting your standard issued black suits (2) in about 6 weeks. The new influx of shills and operatives has caused more demand than we can keep up with.
Just remember, if you need more suits you will have to order them and their cost will be deducted from your paychecks.

Oh, and, someone should warn whatnot: don't even think of requesting a neuralizer yet. You have to earn one, and that takes some time. But NWO Kitty has a warped sense of humour, so if you ask for one before you have earned it, you will lose your NWO status and worse:

A Message For All Those Who Want The Wars To End
(MAKE IT GO VIRAL)
MARCH FOR ANSWERS Sunday, September 27 2pm Battery Park to City Hall.
Meet Bob McIlvaine.
Bob's son Bobby was killed on 9/11.
Bob knows that his son's death is the pretext for the wars the US government has waged since 9/11. Bob stood by helplessly as the White House official who wrote the Preemptive War strategy, Philip Zelikow, went on to run the 9/11 Commission's investigation into his son's murder. Is it a conflict of interest that the same Bush insider who wrote the policy of Preemptive War also wrote the pretext justifying that policy? Is his word good in your book?
Not in Bob's book. That's why on Sunday, September 27 Bob will march alongside the 80,000 New Yorkers who have called for a new 9/11 investigation; one that will NOT be run by those who advocate wars.
He hopes you will too.
Appeal to emotion much?
And they're predicting a turnout of 80,000? I doubt they'll get 1,000. Come on truthers, prove that you're willing to stand up for your beliefs and support practically the only 9/11 Truth organisation who has done something in the real world.

Based on a poll presented in this thread http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=154745, 14% of Americans believe the government knew in advance of the 9/11 attacks. If we apply that percentage to the population of Manhattan (1.5 million), we come up with 210,000 people who are potentially part of the truth movement. Of course, many (most?) of them may not be aware of Sunday's march. If just 1% of them do show up that will be 2,100 people; 0.5% would be 1,050 people.

I've been reminded by a friend that will be running that tomorrow is the annual tunnel-to-towers race in honor of Stephen Siller, FDNY. Lots of firemen run it in full bunker gear. About 20,000 people ran last year.
I have this silly fantasy of the these runners crossing paths with the NYCANN march. The routes will be very close together to the point that I wonder if NYCANN has a permit for their action. There will still be runners around when the NYCANN people begin to form up.
Video of last year: http://www.ny1.com/content/special_reports/wtc_coverage/86413/thousands-take-part-in-seventh-annual-tunnel-to-towers-run/Default.aspx
http://www.tunneltotowersrun.org/
Stephen Siller, beloved husband and father of five, was a firefighter from Squad 1, Park Slope Brooklyn. On 9/11, he was off-duty, and on his way to golf with his 3 older brothers.
When Stephen heard on his scanner that the World Trade Center had been hit, he turned his vehicle around and headed towards the site. When his truck was prohibited from entering the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, typically of him, he raced on foot towards the site with his gear strapped to his back.
He was last seen alive on West and Liberty Streets where he, more than likely, went looking for his Squad, all of whom perished. The Tunnel to Towers Run retraces Stephen's footsteps on that fateful day.
In running along his path, we honor the memory of all the Firefighters, Police, and EMS workers who performed their duty that day. In running this race, we are reclaiming still another part of the city for all our heroes and for all of those who died on 9/11.

It would be wrong of any member here to try and attract the attention of any of the runners to the NYCCAN'T demonstration. It could lead to a confrontation and maybe even a physical altercation, which would be wrong wrong wrong and we don't want it.

I spitballed it at ~100 or so. It was tough to tell because the only crowd shot had the camera constantly moving and it was shot down a sidewalk. The feed was so choppy (it was worse than the one at the pentagon the truthers complain about) that it was hard to tell who was there for the march and who were just inconvenienced pedestrians. Going by the crowd noises (claps and cheers) it sounded like ~30 people.
Using truther math that means that thousands of people attended.:D

Ok, here is what happened. Seven people completed the march from Battery Park to City Hall (I didn't see the begining). The rally had a maximum of 50 people. I would say about 25-30 were "truthers" the rest seemed to be confused pedestrians caught behind the police barracides, as the police gave about 2/3 of the sidewalk to the rally.
The "truthers" passed out literature to the passersby, I only saw one guy ask a question. No one else seemed interested.
That Daniel guy from Rescue Me screamed about "how dare the city talk about jurisdiction when 3,000 people died!" The speakers I heard said the same b.s. "power down" and "OBL not wanted by the FBI".
There were many members of the FDNY in the area, hanging out after the tunnel to towers run. None were interested in the rally.
I took some photographs which I will post tomorrow.

I staked out the courthouse since I took it to be the end-point and likely to get the biggest crowd. Eventually the merry band came down Worth St from Broadway and headed south on Center St headed to City Hall.
I got what I believe is good video of the length of the parade. This is my first use of video on my Digicam and first Youtube. Lets see what develops.

I was running late and was only at City Hall by 2pm. I continued to walk down Broadway figuring I would run into them. Instead, at about Pine Street I ran into dozens of FDNY members from the 9/11 run. I figured the "truthers" probably would not march in front of them. Since I didn't know their route I went back to City Hall Park where seven of them walked in around 3:30.

And 22,000+ people participated in the Tunnel to Towers Run today.
The entire race is still run 100% by volunteers of the Siller family and is not a corporate-run race. The money raised goes to the Stephen Siller, FDNY, “Let Us Do Good” Children’s foundation. This foundation benefits children who have lost one or both parents. With 22,000 participants in 2007 & 2008, the foundation has raised millions of dollars and has benefitted orphans including, but not limited to, orphans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and Hurricane Katrina in addition to orphans local to the New York City area.

A tenth of one percent would have been a respectable showing (though a modest one, for a cause claimed to be popular), about 8,000 people. Eighty-five people is barely over a thousandth of one percent, or a hundred thousandth of the actual population.

The video shows the parade from tip to tail. There was essentially nobody in the park until the Twoofers showed up. They sort of attracted the curious.
There were a zillion photographers snapping away. I wonder how many of them were sympathetic and how many were there in case something newsworthy happened.

So, it is unlikely that anyone will have to go back to the courthouse again to look for documents on this petition matter, but thank you again for having done so in order to obtain the original letter, and to videotape the "march" today.
That's one of the great things about the JREF: everyone pitches in how and when they can, and collectively, we get a more complete picture of what is really going on, particularly when "truthers" try to hide what's really going on by posting only incomplete stuff, and by failing to post things that they view as detrimental to their "cause". Can't wait for Alt's photos, which will give us yet another piece of the picture on this most recent NYCCANT failure.

Think about it in terms of the 80,000 who supposedly signed the petition, and we'll generously estimate 80 people in attendance. That means they got 0.1% of the people who signed the freaking petition!

Indeed Al. It's digusting when the "truthers" say they are trying to help the first responders. The first responders are taking care of their own. I've never met an FDNY or NYPD member who would take a filthy dime from a "truther".

Nothing new on the NYCAN'T website about the march. What a surprise!
But this is worth reposting for the lulz:
"That's why on Sunday, September 27 Bob will march alongside the 80,000 New Yorkers who have called for a new 9/11 investigation; one that will NOT be run by those who advocate wars."
http://nyccan.org/Not_In_Our_Sons_Name.php
And this, from an email:
"Judge Lehner may decide the case on the paperwork submitted, or hear oral arguments as well. If oral arguments are ordered, the proceeding should be open to the public. If so, we will ask everyone who can to attend and help maintain the tidal wave of support that will crescendo with the March For Answers on Sunday."

The word Schadenfreude was invented for occasions like this!
I think the aftermath of this and the court hearing could go one of two ways - Les Jamieson is suddenly revealed and reviled as an NWO stooge who deliberately sabotaged the initiative from the inside, or they announce a drive to get 15,000 new signatures for 2010 "so could you please keep giving us money?"

So what exactly did they accomplish with this march, other that wasting a few cops time? Did they raise any money? Did they speak with anyone of importance..or did they just get their shoes wet?

I didn't see anyone asking for donations and no, since it was Sunday no one of political importance was around. The majority of people who heard their chanting were foreign tourists, many I'm sure were non-English speakers.

I watched the live feed last night (night in Denmark!) and I’m quite sure that I heard one of the guys speaking, don’t know his name, say the following: “the majority of the 80,000 know why they signed the petition”
I went to bed without thinking more of it, but when I got up this morning, I remembered that sentence and started wondering if the NYCCAN people tricked unknowing people into signing the petition, since only the majority knows why they signed it?!? Or did I simply not get it right what the guy said?

There was a YouTube video of NYCCAN people gathering signatures at Union Square (I think) and they clearly were not telling people that they were signing a petition to amend the City of New York Charter and give Ed Asner $100,000 a year and the right to subpoena anyone on the planet and having to answer to no one. Instead they mumbled something about helping first responders. I'll see if I can find the video when I get home later.

Hehehe. This is what they say about the march in an email from NYCCAN'T that arrived in my inbox 6 hours ago:
"New York City – Yesterday, The New York City Coalition for Accountability Now (NYC CAN), a group comprising 9/11 family members, first responders and survivors, led 300 New Yorkers from Battery Park to City Hall in protest of the City’s attempt to block the referendum for a fresh probe of the 9/11 attacks from going on the November ballot."

Well, truthers think the sun shines out of their you-know-whats, and if the Tunnel Run's firefighters knew truthers believed the FDNY was 'in on it' the firefighters would be so angry the truthers would poop their pants... so, technically, that quote is correct. :)

Great big thankyou to Big Al for taking the time and trouble to go film these buffoons. A poster on Screw Loose Change counted 93 people in the march after an anonymous commenter claimed there were 150. So they've gone from 150 to 300 - doubtless this figure will get revised upward continually ...

Here's how you do it: When the marchers first pass in front of you count "clunkety-clunk 1, clunkety-clunk 2, clunkety-clunk 3" and so on. When they are past multiply the number by 5 and you have a total!

I was told to mention the ZOG discount.

Attention whatnot, as a new recruit you will also be issued a shoe phone. Please wear both shoes as we've had a bit of a problem with the newest NWO shills wearing only one shoe and thus drawing unwanted attention to themselves. ;)

It shows the protesters gathered to watch the speeches before the march and contains in full Manny Badillo's speech. The camera pans around the complete crowd a number of times, and I think the estimate of 100 attendees is right.
