Has anyone looked into this item?

Called Quietus (http://www.quietrelief.com/), it's suppose to relive the symptoms of tinnitus (ringing in the ears) ... although I smell snake oil here.

Homeopathic ... no links ... seductive risk free offer where you must call in for more info.

Luckily, I don't suffer from it, but those who do might be persuaded to try anything to stop it.

Isn't "homeopathic" by definition the same as "snake oil"? Only less oil, more water.

They sure chose a poor name---in Alfonso Cuaron's "Children of Men", that's the name of the suicide drug.

Spelled the same way?

If so ... [Artie Johnson] very interesting [/Artie Johnson].

As ejk said, add them all up, "Homeopathic ... no links ... seductive risk free offer where you must call in for more info."

End of story and a needless post.

That's pretty much what it means. (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/quietus)

I don't think I've seen it in prose or poetry except as a reference to death, though I'm sure people used used it more widely when learning Latin was fashionable.
