Those guys who refused to take Randi's Challenge because it would take $2million to win the $1million... shouldn't these people have done their research in the first place to back up their claims? So they should have documentation and the ability to repeat the results that documentation claims.

Well, you're assuming that they're not filthy, immoral liars.

I assumed no such thing. Just their arguement doesn't hold water. :D

That's what gets me about all of these claims - the ones firmly held by regular people, not the unscrupulous ones selling product - that they 'know' that they are right, yet when it comes time to test, it's too difficult to test. Then how do you know? Oye.
Yet that rebuttal never seems to get through the fog.

I've never regretted the day I decided to be a misanthrope.
:p

Haaaahaha...so true. I think if pressed they would say that they have tests and data to prove it but that the tests Randi requires are much more extensive/expensive. Which is, of course, complete b.s. but is probably how they would try to wriggle out of it.

I can make octaganol water and I can prove it (such a pity it won't qualify for the million dollars).

That would be because the water forms smaller clusters and is more able to slip through the holes in their argument. Thus they orchestrate their own downfall.;)
