I don't know what possessed me, but I just read this article over at the David Icke forums...

A Strengthened Virus and A Police State (http://www.davidicke.com/content/view/26440)

Holy batcrap! :boggled:

I think the guy's off his nut - completely off his nut. But what's truly scary is I've met some people who actually believe his conspiracy mongering, or at least they believe elements of it.

I wonder how he's going to tie all of this nonsense into 2012? I also have to wonder if he's truly as crazy as he seems, or if he's just crazy like a fox and he's making boatloads of money off the gullible?

Any concern I might have had regarding vaccines for the Swine Flu (few, and all regarded sufficient testing, since I'm in a risk group) are completely cast aside by the claims from some weirdo who thinks Good Queen Liz is a lizard.

He might get some ideas from these guys:

Could the new H1N1 (Swine Flu) be related to/as a sign of 2012?

Yes, the flu is caused by viral infections and that is a fact. Where the virus comes in the first place from is what was being talked about. As I stated, the Chinese have correlated the flu season with the inferior conjunction of Venus going back to the 12th century AD.

The researchers say that the virus, or a trigger that causes it, is deposited throughout space by dust in the debris stream of comets, which are thought by many researchers to harbor organic material. As Earth passes through the stream, dust (and perhaps the virus) enters our atmosphere. The study of this is astrobiology not astrology! Also, the intense solar activity at sunspot maximum that causes bright displays of aurora also has the effect of driving viral particles or their triggers rapidly to ground level, the researchers also say.

Venus has a captured orbit, but was once a very large comet. It still has a tail to prove it and in fact our ancient history recorded this event. The magnetic field from this object does not support the shape and size.

I hate to say it, but this theory is not nearly as wacky (though it is certainly wacky enough) to Icke's Lizard People secretly running the world. It is hard to top The Queen Of England is a reptoid in disguise for sheer wackiness.

You only just noticed?

How long ago was it he announced he was a super-intelligent shade of the colour blue, and the Isle of Arran was going to sink beneath the waves? Must be nearly 20 years now.

Yeah, saying "David Icke Is a Nutcase" is like saying "Rain is Wet".

No, I didn't forget, I was just remembering the first symptoms, back when he first morphed from mild-mannered Green Party spokesman.

David Icke is a fear monger extraordinaire. He has truly turned the fears (and hopes) of CTs into money by telling them exactly what they want to hear. His legions of nutters DESPERATELY want the swine flu vaccine to be some sort of elaborate government plot, and so he gladly feeds them the propaganda they desperately want to be true.

That is standard CT SOP.
What makes Icke unique is the sheer looniness of his theories. Reptilian Aliens masquerading as Humans and taking over the world...even most CTers would call that crazy.
Stan Lee and the guys who created "V" should sue Icke for plagarism.

The documentary made by Jon Ronson which follows Icke makes me think he really believes what he's saying.

I know some people who believe some of what he says. Pretty irritating.

Oh, I remember when he originally lost the plot. He was quite well-known before that, in the sports world, and as a prominent member of the Green Party, when he suddenly lost it.

I don't think it's an act at all.

I like the photos the best. The shots of the unhappy baby being injected with about 9 needles and the deaths-head worker stirring the giant pot of CANCER VIRUS, NERVE DISEASE, and THIMEROSAL (MERCURY) are all the scientific evidence I need. It's rock-solid proof of the conspiracy. What on earth was I thinking, relying on facts and reason when I could have been listening to brilliant researchers like David Icke.

I watched an interview once where he explained how he was in a hotel room and suddenly screamed out (to nothing?), "I know you're watching me! Quit it!" and that's when he knew he was the Son of God.

A friend of mine knows the shop-keeper who sold Icke & co the original turquoise tracksuits. The reason for the colour choice? It was the only one in stock in sufficient quantity.

actually the queen is 800 years old, so is the pope, obviously i can't prove it but it's true. Icke is just there with his lizard story to help keep it secret. I bet you didn't know that the queen mum was over 900 years old when she died but it's ok cause they took her dna and impregnated prince edwards wife with it so now they are raising the new queen mum. It's much more sinister than we could ever imagine. Maybe i should make a 16 hour/6 dvd set all about it, i would only charge a reasonable fee for my information, say £60. It could help sell my book detailing ancient medical discoveries about how to live for a thousand years, obviously i can't tell you what the secret combination of basil, bee pollen and white gold powder is, you'll need to buy the book, once i write it.

I remember reading in his, ahem, book 'The biggest secret' that he tries to explain how the earth MUST be hollow. He claims the centre of gravity is just 400 miles below the surface, there is an advanced civilization inside the earth, there are mountains taller then Everest, and, this is the beauty of his claim, he reckons there is a star 800 miles in diameter right in the centre! WTF! I don't think even I considered this realistic when I was in the bosom of woo!

He rejects all scientific evidence, of course. Apparently there are holes at both poles that allow entry to the centre of the earth.

I don't think he has mentioned it again in recent books, but that is not to say he has reigned in his lucid imagination No, no; now he believes the moon is hollow!

With regards to his vaccine claims: It is worrying that some people might take him seriously, I nearly did once.

Stephan Soderburg is filming a movie about the outbreak of a killer plague called "Contagion" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1598778/ that should be out next year, (and that is quite an impresive cast) and since this will be one of the year's big releases look for the CTers to go bonkers.

So what we,at least me, is saying is this great and powerful Oz Icke with his amazing take on life the world and everything probably thinks

"I'm running a bit short on cash, expensive on the Isle of Wight innit, I know I'll do another book and a few lectures, get the old sheeple loyal devoted followers of truth, honesty and all things lizardy to cough up some of their hard earnedJob Seekers"

So off Icke toddles down to Douglas branch of Blockbusters, rents a few DVDs from the Science Fiction rack and copies down the ideas in said DVDs into 700 page book form.Knocks 'em out for £20 a go and Bob's your Uncle Fanny's your shape shifting energy vampire lizard living in the hollow moon.

My god the man's a genius, and all with the aid of a little mental breakdown.

I think that's the Relics episode, where Scotty turns up. If so it wasn't a planet as such, it was a Dyson Sphere which was first postulated in 1959 (and wiki mentions that he got inspiration from a 1937 Sci Fi novel)

Physics Fail.

Even if the Earth was hollow, the center of gravity (which is also the center of mass) would be in the center of the (roughly) spherical shell of the Earth. Having the CofG only 400 miles "below the surface" begs the question, "Relative to what point on the surface?" If this were true, the gravity vector of almost everywhere else on Earth would be noticeably non-vertical.

Unless, of course, he believes the Earth's diameter is only about 800 miles......

Horatius
14th July 2010, 04:02 PM
Doing some math. Let's assume, rather charitably, that he meant to say the shell of the hollow Earth was 400 miles thick. With an Earth radius of 6357 km, less the 400 miles (about 643 km) the radius of the internal surface would be 5714 km. At one revolution per day, this handy little calculator (http://www.calctool.org/CALC/phys/newtonian/centrifugal) tells us that people on the inside of the Earth, near the equator, would feel about 0.00308143g acceleration due to centrifugal acceleration. That's about 0.0302185 m/s/s, so it would take about 331 seconds (http://www.ajdesigner.com/constantacceleration/cavelocityt.php) to accelerate to 10 m/s, vs. about 1 second on the normal surface of the Earth. That's about 5 and half minutes.

I hope those people inside the Earth don't have trampolines; it would take forever to play with them.
