View Full Version : If you had to debate one truther, who would it be?

I would love to debate David Ray Griffin personally. I think he is so misinformed and gets sources from freaking holocaust deniers. I wish I was a structural engineer so I can completely destroy his work of NIST's theory not being scientific.

Great thread/question. I don't know if I have an answer yet because I would love to debate any Truther, ANY.

Its hard picking which one I'd want to embarrass the hell out of.

I think DRG is a good one cause I haven't heard any debates he has done, except for one with Chip Berlet. It did not come out too well for DRG. He tried to argue like an apologist and was not prepared at all.

Ace Baker. Where lack of knowledge about video doesn't preclude a wildly misinformed opinion.

Killtown. You don't need to do any work. He debunks himself.

Max Photon. But only if we were drinking beer while doing it, because I think he'd be hilarious after a few.

Debating any of the unhuman scum does nothing except bring their bs rhetoric into the spotlight. There is a reason real scientists turned away from idiots like Joe Newman when he begged for a debate.

I agree with this to a certain point. But I think that having a debate brought to the spotlight still has good aspects.

First, fence sitters, can't forget them. And second, I agree with Abby Smith in this blog post (http://endogenousretrovirus.blogspot.com/2008/02/students-standing-up-for-science.html) and even though the post is focused on debating ID, I think that this concept holds well for CT debunking too.

These people are frauds and lazy 'investigators'. I think that comes out even clearer when people without any germane background in this debate point this out.

This is why I love the 911 debunker movement, a bunch of con-artists and d-bags are trying so hard to look like qualified experts in the various fields that go under the 911 CT umbrella have a magician's forum--a sub-forum in a magician's forum--as the most effective opponent to their movement.

There is nothing better than calling out/exposing the jerkwads that lead the TM and it becomes even more awesome when people without any particular expertise are the ones doing the calling outege/exposingege.

Always makes me giggle how truthers declare victory everytime a scientist or other expert declines to debate them.

Grifter, easily, because he dodges debates.

Hmmmmmm... where to start?

I guess it would be Charlie Sheen.

Why? Obviously I would not have a problem beating him....but I would be nice to him and compliment him about his *cough* great acting abilities.

Then... Free coke & hookers!

I think that attitude is one reason people get suckered in to believing these theories. I am grateful to Mark Roberts, Ron Wieck, R Mackey, Popular Mechanics, Matt Taibbi, and the rest who have debated these guys.

I'm debating Tony Szamboti day after tomorrow. I actually think he's a relatively sane and educated member of the Truth Movement, so it is possible we will have an intelligent discussion.

The rest, however... :tinfoil

I would love to sit down with Dylan or Jason, or both, and talk about nothing but fires and its effects. I have compiled a good bit of information about 9/11, and fire in general. Even have a folder in my favorites.

I don't want to talk engineering, as that is not my expertiese. But, you are going to have to handcuff me, because the minute I hear FDNY paid off, I would come unglued.

BTW, what is the best way to put together a blog with all this info thata I have compiled?? NOTICE: I don't do well with technology. I still cannot embead a YouTube video here.

I'll use the wrong brackets to show you, use only the bolded part of the youtube url

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cddIgb1nGJ8

{yt}cddIgb1nGJ8{/yt}

now change these brackets> {} to these kind of brackets > [ ]

and you get this

Red Ibis, but he would have to be tied to a chair and forced to answer the questions he is being asked.

That's the one I picked. You'd always win by default due to his no-show.

Who was the kid from Toronto that paged Dick Cheney in a Walmart? I'd like to meet him, don't think it would be much of a debate, but he's fun to watch.

The baseball bat option also sounds inviting.

That kid ain't to bright, his debating tactic is to giggle, sigh, roll eyes, and of course ignore.

dsglop has few debates with him here (http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=DCB3807858843CAB).

Richard Gage, but I don't believe I'd make a good candidate for a debate. I'm sure at some point in any such debate I'd give in to temptation, get him in a headlock and deliver a series of noogies followed by a wedgie. I was sooo hoping Gravy would've done that on Hardfire but alas, they weren't in the same studio. Oh well.

That douche* (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZ8o0BRKWDM) is Nathan Moulton and I would LOVE to debate his stupid ass.

I pretty much have the same hobby as dsglop, I love to go and argue with crazy people. I'm pretty jealous cause the 911 Truthers aren't too active in LA it seems.

dsglop's problem is that he won't pin Nathan down on anything and he interrupts people too much. He knows a lot about 911 and CT in general and whenever Nathan sidesteps and dodges a question by bringing up another topic dsglop gets excited and tries to debunk that new topic...

*that video is made by Walter Ego a poster here on JREF. He has a very good 911 video blog. (http://911vids.blogspot.com/)

I would like to take apart that blithering idiot Graeme MacQueen on his methodology in determining whether there were explosives involved in the collapses. I would need to bring along a flash drive with the ACTUAL footage and unaltered audio of the collapse of the south tower and of Michael Hezarkhani's video and voice to show him what a gullible putz he has already shown himself to be.
