Ruppert was ordered to pay a former female employee $127,000 including damages and lost wages. In his defence, Ruppert explains that "the case was based on a deliberate attempt to discredit his work, a movie coming out about his views and his former newsletter, From The Wilderness."
Michael C Ruppert is a prominent 9/11 conspiracy theorist, in case anyone doesn't know this, or who actually cares.

I like this detail:
State labor commissioner, Brad Avakian, says Ruppert continually propositioned Lindsay Gerken – one time walking into her office wearing nothing but his underwear and a smile.
He apparently wasn't afraid to Cross the Rubicon himself. :D

It could be that he was just on his way to an undercover assignment on No-Pants Island.

Now, now, there could be a reasonable explanation for this. Such as
Ruppert admitted to stripping down to his underpants and parading around the office while he and the woman were the only two there, an accusation the woman made in her statement. However, he said his motive wasn't sex but rather an attempt to uncover the woman's "con."
"I was trying to make her show her hand because I knew she was up to something," he said while sitting in his office as Ashland Police surveyed the seven computers that were smashed with a sledge hammer in another room. "I needed to cross a line to make her show her hand."

..."I needed to cross a line to make her show her hand."
I rather strongly suspect it wasn't her hand he was hoping she'd show.

So is there a debunking movie about Ruppert coming out?

Once they figure out how to edit it so that it gets something below NC-17.

Mikey!
This is just too adorable. You have suspicions of a disinfo person in your organization, or an industrial spy, or someone from a rival publisher looking to scoop your work.... And you don't plant false leads or red herrings to lure them out. You parade around in your skivvies!
Only thing better would be if he'd gone all J. Edgar on her and done it in women's underwear.

I'm still wondering about the "seven computers that were smashed with a sledge hammer".

Rough internet sex sometimes gets out of hand. That's why there's a safe word, Ruppert! No means no, dammit!

Ah. The secretary must have worked for the CIA drug-running outfit he uncovered back in the day. I mean, you have to know your people, right? What better way to have them show you their loyalty then some awkward and wrinkly underwear hijinks?
I think Ruppert has stumbled onto a heretofore under-used defense for bosses who like to sexually harass their employees.
"She's one of THEM! I needed to prove it, so I snuck up behind her and put my **** on her shoulder!"

Hey, honey! How ya doin?
What??!! You mean everyone with a female avatar or name isn't really a female? On the internet? Well colour me green and call me an artichoke!

Ah, another one of those troofy proofy things. It's funny how words work. They have what we refer to as "definitions",... or alternately, "meanings". (You could Google it - I'm sure there are on-line "dictionaries" that might help, so you wouldn't have to go out and buy an actual "book".)
Ya see, it's not a "smear" if it's merely a report of the legal outcome. (Not sure if it's a court-ordered settlement or some other administrative group and I can't access those blogs from the office. But in either case, it's not like the infamous Glen Beck rape/murder case, is it?)
And the only person claiming it was an effort to "discredit" is Ruppert.

Ruppert follows in the footsteps of another infamous truther:
"at the end of the 2004 academic year, Fetzer was suspended for several weeks for a purported incident of sexual harassment. (Fetzer admitted that he had a conflict with a female staff member at UMD, but denied there was a sexual component.)"
http://www.citypages.com/2006-06-28/news/the-man-who-thought-he-knew-too-much/5
Hmmm, he "denied there was a sexual component" but later he basically admitted it:
"It is the case that I had a falling out with a 60-year old member of the staff, who was not under my supervision but had been a graduate student of mine. We had had an inappropriate relationship that spanned some 18 months. For reasons that I do not profess to understand, she turned on me and accused me of sexually harassing her. I have not sexually harassed anyone and probably nothing would have come of it except that she was the Chancellor's "best buddy" and I was hung out to dry."
http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=6832&st=60&p=62980
He was more explicit on a Yahoo Group but you need to be a member to read the messages:
"And I have also been more successful with women. I had (what my wife regards as) an inappropriate relationship with a member of the staff, who was also married, the Chancellor's best friend. When she turned on me (for reasons I do not remotely understand), the Chancellor hung me out to dry--and he is even envious of that!"

Funny that he bragged about having an affair with a 60 year-old woman!

He had a probable sexual relationship with another woman and cannot understand why his wife and Boss disapproved strongly of it.
What planet does Fetzer spend most of his time on?
(thanks Barney)
ETA:
Oh yeah, its the same planet as Ruppert

I imagine her age added insult to injury for Fetzers wife. He would have been 62 when the relationship started. I imagine Mrs. Fetzer could rationalize being traded-in for a younger woman which is pretty normal but instead he was running around with one around her age perhaps a little older!
If Fetzer wanted to brag about what a stud he is he should have had a fling with a 25 year-old, if Ruppert wanted to get laid he should have found a lonely 60 year-old.:D:)

Fetzer now says, 'It was an "inappropriate relationship", but we did not have sex'.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FETZERclaimsDEBUNK/message/3724
So I replied:
In other words you were intentionally misleading (not quite lying but damn close) when you falsely bragged:
"And I have also been more successful with women. I had (what my wife regards as) an inappropriate relationship with a member of the staff, who was also married, the Chancellor's best friend. When she turned on me (for reasons I do not remotely understand), the Chancellor hung me out to dry--and he is even envious of that!"

Sorry Jimmy a but a 65 year-old man NOT having sex with a 62 year-old female colleague doesn't constitute being "successful with women".:)

I wonder why he needed to be discredited. Smear. Yuck.
Ruppert did not need this incident to discredit him. That so much of what he wrote is batcrap crazy is discredit enough.
But this does sort of show that the guy has serious mental problems which not exactly help his creditbility.
