View Full Version : What happens when the NYCCAN petition fails?

So, we of sound mind all know that there will be NO 9-11 investigation referendum on NYC's ballot this fall.

But, what will the reaction of the truthers be?

Revolution? Mass self-torture? Mass-exodus to Iran?

I expect a lot of whining, a lot of chest-beating, maybe a few threats against the Judge, NYC Clerk, and opposing lawyers, and maybe a small march or two.

Appeal to the SCOTUS? The United Nations?

More of the same and a predictable response from the feckless.

If I were in charge of the Twoofies, I would lay low next year and point to 2011. There'll be a spike in interest then because of the tenth anniversary; I would use the run-up to that as a springboard to raise public awareness. I would also have a petition written that might actually have a snowball's chance in hell of passing legal muster.

However, I'm not in charge of the Twoofies. My prediction is that they'll be batting their heads against this brick wall next year.

Harassment of City Council members. I don't know if it's true or not, but I've seen a claim that the council can vote to put something on the ballot. If the Twoofers believe it, there will be no stopping them.

With some luck a friend of mine will be a freshman councilperson after the November election and I can feed her info from this forum about the loons that are calling her and her colleagues.

If Alex Jones is involved he will claim that; "the judge was paid off by the NWO"

I think it will go something like this.

It will vary from individual to individual, depending on their capacity to understand why the petition was rejected.

Is the judge.....Jewish?

Expect a round or two of finger-pointing and some muttering about how they'll do it better next time. If there ever was a movement that's used to "moral victories" (i.e., losses), it's the TM.

The thing is that to get a legal petition on the ballot it won't have anything that they actually want because the City doesn't have the power to give them something that they don't have themselves. It's akin to asking someone if you can borrow their car, but they don't have a car, they don't even have a drivers license to rent one and then loan it to you.

They'll first threaten to hold their breath unless they get what they want. Then they'll stomp around with their arms crossed and a pouty lip. Then they'll get sent to bed without dinner.

It's old hat.

They will say that they generated so much publicity that what looks like a miserable failure is actually a wonderful victory. They will appeal to emotion by saying they're doing it for the families and first responders. Then they will return to lying, as usual.

Mike,

Did they ever STOP lying?? Those dirtbags haven't (at least that I am aware of) ever done anything for us. Not even once. Hell, there are more firefighters charities started by FDNY members and friends than anything the Twoof movement has EVER done. EVER.

There will be massive riots in the streets by over 80,000 people. They will storm city hall and hang the city clerk in effigy on the front steps.

OT: Happy b'day Tri.

What happens when this abortion of a petition fails? Well, truthers will minimize, twist, and turn the facts into some sort of "victory". Kind of like Baghdad Bob. Your country is being bombed into the stone age, and yet, you go on TV to declare victory. The clueless idiots will at the very least, spin their dismal failure in such a way as to generate more money, and they will still have some people who actually fall for it, and send in a few dollars.

That Jerry Falwell's Liberty University prays for them (http://lc.org/media/9980/adopt_a_liberal.htm)?

Maybe the folks from Westboro Baptist Church will make a new sign:

Well, it's a "no bet" on the outcome. I'm just ready for some good schadenfreude.

I'd like to think he'd be more blatant and claim that the judge was in on 9-11. Probably planted the supermax thermopoly in sub basement 23 of WTC 3.14159. The Alex Jones I've come to know and loathe is nothing if not a giant bag of paranoid hysteria.

What's gonna happen...not a damn thing. The oblivious TM is just gonna claim NYC courts are in on it as they already are saying in anticipation of their failure. It is the reason they are claiming the court is dragging their feet. Personally I think the courts should bill NYCCANT for the resources they have spent wasting time on this idiotic piece of tripe.

Look, the fact is, that in 2009, if you still believe the Official Conspiracy Theory, then you are either a co-conspirator, a shill for the NWO, a traitor, or a Zionist agent.

John Albanese goes with the moral victory response (http://www.truthmove.org/forum/topic/871/page/5):

but - this is not a total loss. in fact i still view it as a significant accomplishment - DESPITE the best efforts of some to undermine its integrity - and set it up to fail.
