The Talking Cures; is any psychotherapy backed by science?

I know essentially nothing of Freud and the rest of the flavors of "talking cures". Are there any parts of any of them that have a methodology that is supported by any science?

I second that CBT is talking about changing behavior, freudian therapy is a waste of money.
