I'm looking for descriptions of the sorting of debris here or at any other sites.

Great article. Completely blows away various twoofer claims like "the debris was shipped away" "was never properly examined" "no one bother to check for evidence of explosives", and so forth.

Thank you very much for the links. A while back, I read what I remember to be an official description of the sorting process. Am I correct?

Bit of history - KIILL is old Dutch term for small stream or river. Dutch had originally
settled New York area before English acquired it after 1664. Many places in this
area (including New Jersey) have names going back to Dutch.

There is town north of NYC called FISHKILL - Peta was complaining about it and wanted name changed

FRESH KILL referred to a stream with fresh or drinkable water as opposed to brackish

That is your history lesson for today - be on test next week....

There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.
