Why he died and Why it matters

By James W Douglass

Bascially, it's a JFK CT book saying the CIA Killed Kennedy

Is any of it true?

You know, there's this really neat invention where you can borrow books and read them for NO CHARGE AT ALL.

It's only been around for a couple hundred years, so I can see how you might not have heard of it, but it's a good deal.

It's called a public library. You might check into it.

Unscrupulous people would suggest that you get it via Torrent. Not me though.

I don't know if my library has that book, so, moot point.

JFK & The Unmentionable
Why he died and why it matters

would be an even more interesting title wouldnīt you say?
Nope havenīt read it. But I couldnīt resist scoring some easy points.
Whenever I care to indulge myself in JFK-theories I usually just read James Ellroys "Underworld USA Trilogy". I know theyīre just fiction and the donīt apply to be anything else.

GUESS WHAT? Most libraries are so far into the 21st Century as to actually have their catalogs online!!!!!!!1!1!! OMG!!!

You can go to your library's website and find out if they have that book! Or you can call them and they will tell you!!

Now, here's the truly awesome part - if your library doesn't have that book, they will probably be able to get it for you from a library that does have it!

Or if you have an MP3 player or iPod you might be able to download an electronic version of the book from your library's website.

Just imagine - there's no need for anyone to carry around that load of ignorance any more! w00t!

Well, you might be the librarian, but I am the library public relations manager. :p

Us poor flacks have to prove our worth somehow.

If you are able to get a copy, here is a good quick way to find out if it is worth a read or not. Look for the words "pristine bullet". This is a good litmus test, I use it all the time when looking at JFK books.

If the claim is made that this bullet (CE399) is pristine (original condition) then the book is not worth reading unless you are into it for laughs.

The part about JFK being dead is most likely true.

1964 or so maybe this wouldn't be such a stupid title. But by 2008 the unspeakable has been, well, spoken. A lot. Havn't looked at it but it's probably full of the old recycled bogus leaps. Certain speeches, the Dulles', etc.

You want my theory? No? Oh, okay.

Ahem.

I dearly LOVE JFK being a target of the CIA. It's my favorite CT. But the several connections to confirm it's true aren't there. Still tons of fun, especially to BS your mates of a Saturday night, but far from being enough for a court of law.

You and I are left with the "official" story (BO-ring!) or keeping the hope alive. :( (ETA: :D )

This is like beating a dead horse with a stick. (No pun intended to JFK)

As someone who used to dabble in the JFK conspiracy theory, I have come to the realization that the official version is most likely the true version. It's also the most boring version, perhaps even the most depressing version, but that's life for you.

I confidently estimate at least 75% of the book is true.

The Neverending Story

Basically a movie about a kid who reads about stuff and imagines it into real life.

Ah, but was it a public library, open to any random person that chooses to stroll in the door, or was it only for the scholarly and privileged classes?

There have been libraries for thousands of years, but the free public library is a relatively recent development.

On the theory that in order to sell a lie effectively, you have to wrap it in a proper amount truth? :)
