Rona Fischman, who blogs on real estate for the Boston Globe, writes that a property where a domestic murder happened gave her and her clients a hurt stomach. Eerily, that was the exact feeling I got reading the story and the comments.

Good grief. One would think that in an area such as Massachusetts, many properties would be the scene of death, violent or otherwise.

I used to live just south of Boston in a few different places. One of these places had some interesting folks living there, but those're other stories for other threads. Of note here is that some of us started seeing ghosts, namely me. They were all over the apartment building especially in this one hallway. After talking with friends, we found out* that this guy had murdered his wife down in one of the corner apartments in that particular hallway and there were still bloodstains on the white wall years later.

Totally scary for an eight-year old who'd just had a fun summer of ghost hunting at camp and was looking for more.

*Values of "found out" consistent with the meaning as applied to a bunch of kids looking for ghosts and scary stories.
