Thinking about subscribing to an astronomy magazine. These are the two most widely-known, so...
...which one is better? What is the difference between the two? Which one do you prefer, and why?

I haven't read them consistently, but it seemed to me that Astronomy had more news and general astronomy articles (such as what NASA is currently up to) and Sky & Tel had more technical articles and "How-To" types of things.
Why not get both?

Heh. Well, I generally prefer Astronomy, but I already have a decent telescope and don't muck around with CCD's or anything. I just like to look at cool stuff.

I prefer S&T.
I may be biased though because I was mentioned in an article once.

I generally prefer S&T as it seemed to be much more 'in the trenches' of amateur astronomy.

Can you elaborate a little bit on that?

Just to throw a spanner into the works, I sometimes buy a copy of Sky at Night Magazine (http://www.skyatnightmagazine.com/Default.asp?bhcp=1), if there's an article that interests me. ;)
