Yesterday afternoon when I woke up to get ready for work it felt like I had some schnot in my schnozz. I rubbed my finger beneath my nostrils and was greated by a massive outpouring of blood. I've never had a spontaneous nosebleed before and it scared me.
I'm assuming it was the lack of humidity that caused it so I'm giving a heads up to TAM2 - in Vegas. If you see my nose bleeding, please point out this fact to me immediately. I don't think it's something more severe so I'm assuming the dry air in Vegas might cause it again.

Don't worry about it USA. Lemme tell you about an embarassing moment I had. I'd never had nosebleeds either. Then Uncle Sam decided some radios needed some work in Thule, Greenland, and I was the person for the job. You want to talk low humidity?
So I'm sitting in the club my second night there and my nose suddenly turned into a blood faucet. I didn't mind the blood loss, but I was pretty sure at that point it was possible to die of sheer humiliation. To my delight, no one laughed. I found out that this happened to just about everyone.
Keep a pack of tissues handy, and if you soak your shirt in cold water, the blood stains won't set.

I´ve had spontaneous nosebleeds on and off for years now. Last time was the day before yesterday, after more than a year without. It tends to happen several times within a few days, and then, there is a "quiet" period of at least several weeks, sometimes several months or a year.
So far, I have not made out any cause, or any factors that influence it (except that, in those several-day-period, sneezing or blowing my nose to hard will will start it again).
Anyway, I´m feeling your pain/embarrassment.

USA, we'll be sure to tell you....after we have pointed it out to everyone else and had a good laugh though (not really...)
OK, some high alititude areas in our world (where people have no business living) should never serve carbonated drinks. Actually, they serve these drinks for one reason only, and only a newcomer would drink one. Nothing like being at a fancy embassy party and making fart noises all night long. Very funny people......ggggrrrrrr.....
