Does anyone know anything about a guy named Arnold Takemoto, aka Sir Arnold Takemoto? Stephen Barrett lists him on Quackwatch, but the linked info relates to securities fraud, rather than than medical fraud.

Interesting. I had never heard of him, and it looks like he might have local operations here in BC.

It doesn't appear that he's an MD. Looks worth investigating.

I have been assigned the task of convincing the IRS to return all or part of the proceeds of a bank levy to a client who says she needs the money to pay for breast cancer treatments. That would be hard enough given the other facts of the case, but I have learned that her "treatments" are provided by Arnold Takemoto, Inc. of Scottsdale, AZ and include "DeTox Max Plus", "Ultra Ascorbic C" (which seems to be extracted from beet juice), and an "E-Sport Tag" to be worn "daily around the neck, in a bra or front pocket during awake hours".

I am not optimistic about my chances.

IIRC, you cannot use the title Sir if you are not a British citizen. You may be only conferred an honorary knighthood. However it appears he was knighted by a Prince George of the Sovereign Order of the Oak. In any case he's mentioned on an Oprah forum, so that should be all the confirmation you need.
