Was Jesus Gay? (http://www.365gay.com/newscontent/122503gayJesus.htm)Noted Methodist theologian Rev. Theodore Jennings Jr. and Dr Morton Smith a world renowned Bible scholar at Columbia University say there is irrefutable evidence that Jesus was at least bisexual. Dr Rollan McCleary of the University of Queensland, in Australia, says he has discovered through his research that three of the disciples were gay.

"And the youth, looking upon him (Jesus), loved him and beseeched that he might remain with him. And going out of the tomb, they went into the house of the youth, for he was rich. And after six days, Jesus instructed him and, at evening, the youth came to him wearing a linen cloth over his naked body. And he remained with him that night, for Jesus taught him the mystery of the Kingdom of God".

This is classic gnosticism. Initiates wore linen cloths. The "mystery of the Kingdon of God" refers to teaching the 'inner mysteries' of a Mystery religion (as opposed to the 'outer mysteries' i.e. The dying god-man story)

I forgot the subject line for a minute:

There are clues that the Greek inner mystery initiations used semen somehow. A floor cleaner...a salad dressing...I'm not sure. So maybe the boy in the linen cloth was just tossing Jesus' salad.

It's pretty likely. "Do unto others as they would do unto you."

If the figures for percentage-of-the-population-that's-gay are even remotely correct, seems likely that at least one of the apostles....

Notable lack of women in the group as well, though the Gnostics indicate a "closer" relationship with Mary M.

Those Gnostics are just looking for a way to prove that they are the descendents of Christ.

Could that be why they say Jesus and God were 'one'?

If I'm not mistaken - to Gnostics - Yahweh is an evil god. He is a vicious, vain god who thinks He is the only god. But there is One above Him.

To Gnostics, Jesus was a spiritual being - not a real person, an apparition.

Sure, why not?

Look at the pope! His representative on Earth runs around drinking wine, talking about love, wearing sandals, and seems intent on wearing ostentatious hats.

Doesn't make me think any less of him.

Or more for that matter.....

Sounds like the papal fashion show in Fellini's Roma.

Should we start referring to him as "Jethuth"? Or is that too stereotypical and insulting? How about blasphemous?

All my deities are, of course, asexual. Petty emotion mustn't cloud the judgement of the almighty now.

"You maybe have to be gay to read the signals and to see things and research things which other people wouldn't," he added.

I wasn't aware gaydar was a tool of theologins.

The Vatican has denounced the research by Jennings, Smith and McCleary as "heretical". It has also been denounced by Southern Baptists and evangelical Anglicans.

Those willing to deem this study heretical are even sillier than the sillies that performed it.

ECCE HOMO JESUS GALLERY
- Twelve photographs of Jesus that upset the Pope, and were banned by the European Parliament. Shortly after the first opening, Elisabeth was also invited to show her pictures in Uppsala Cathedral, the foremost cathedral in the country. This decision created a great deal of opposition within the Church, and led to the cancellation by the Pope of a planned audience with Swedish Archbishop K-G Hammar. On several occasions, Elisabeth Ohlson has needed police protection during exhibitions in churches, following repeated bomb threats.
