While the debate over the illegal hacking of the e-mails and data from the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit goes on, stories are starting to come out about another possible break-in - this time at a Canadian climate research facility (http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/intersection/2009/12/05/new-climate-change-hacking-event-in-canada/):

In the run-up to Copenhagen, we have now seen a second apparent attempt (http://rawstory.com/2009/12/repeated-breakins-point-orchestrated-campaign-climate-skeptics/) to steal computer files from a climate change research center. This time, the research institute in question is the Centre for Climate Modelling at the University of Victoria, B.C., Canada...

I wonder how long until someone tries to hack into the NASA and NOAA climate science databases? Then when there's a big government investigation into the hackings, the GW-deniers can cry about how the "government is covering it all up!"

According the the newpaper the break in was late last year. So about 12 months ago then.

Colour me fairly unimpressed.
