Well, for those of you who are not taking the optional workshop, or who will be arriving too late to participate (like me, most likely), there's an afternoon to fill up there the 15th.

Moe already posted some options here (http://www.randi.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27788&postid=1870122213), like the Mac King show, with shows at 1 and 3 PM (a little more info here (http://www.mackingshow.com/appearances.html)) as well as some other interesting options.

Anyone interested in making this a group outing and get to know each other at the same time?

We could be persuaded to do Mac King at 1pm on Thursday :)

I would love to get a chance to meet people before the party Thursday night. I should be at the hotel by 2 on Thursday afternoon. If anyone has plans for a group outing, please count me in.

Well, my plane lands at 12:13 PM (give or take I'm sure), so I probably won't be able to leave the airport and get to the hotel before 1 PM. But Moe had quite a list there, so maybe there's something else on there we could do instead? On of the rides on there for example.

Is Moe going to participate in the workshop BTW or available (and willing) to play tourguide?
Who am I kidding, Moe is always willing, heh

Oh, I hadn't realized that we had an afternoon off (I"m not doing the workshop).

Well, I would certainly like to hang out with the group. I think seeing Mac King is a good option. :)

3:00 is fine with me too. And, probably that will work out better since we won't have to rush around trying to dig up some lunch somewhere in time.

Please update the schedule in http://www.randi.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33328 when you finalize the plans.

My estimates is that I'll be arriving at the hotel between 12:30 and 1:00 pm Thursday. I'll certainly need a 2 or 3-hour nap to recover from an uncomfortable semi-sleep 15-hour flight. After that, a LV sightseeing tour would be more than appreciated.

Nyarlathotep and I should be arriving by about 3 pm. We would arrive earlier, but alas, we can not leave home until 8:30 am when we drop our youngest child off at school. It takes about 6 hours to drive to Vegas from here.

Chani, you'll never get back in time to pick her up!

Or just all head on over to the show?

Darn you're right!! Oh well, I am sure she can fare a few days on her own!*

*This is a joke: We have a friend who will be staying with our kids.

I should be arriving Tuesday at around 2. Plenty of time to explore before the festivities.

I'll try to be around for Thursday

Not sure how far it'll be but we'll have a car, I think Girl6 said she'd have one too... Hopefully it'll work out so that everyone who wants to go can get a ride.

I'll have my car there, too. Since I'm driving from San Diego on that day, 3:00 is definitely better for me.

Anyone know if this show usually sells out? Should we buy tickets in advance?
