Charles wanted me dead: Princess Diana (http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/s1021270.htm)
It wasn't just Charles, honey.
So what do we all think? If Charles, the dastardly, evil so-and-so, wanted Di Di'ed, do you think he might have planned a slightly better time than when a whole fleet of feckin' paparazzi were tailing her???
Heck, what do I know...

Actually it was Prince Philip. Well according to Dodis Dad it was anyway.
The real truth is that Charles and Philip and other members of the illuminati were in cahoots with MI5, the CIA and the SAS to elimante them using a top secret death-ray fired from an unscheduled shuttle launch that caused the merc to crash because Di was pregnant with an alien-human hybrid child that the greys were planning to use to take over the world!!!

I've told shemp to cut down on the hideous alien-human hybrid breeding. I think I'm going to have to lobby to have his budget cut again.

John says that Di says you were after her collection of DANGER! LAND MINES! signs. And that she was going to make some dish for you that involves the letter 'e'. Once again, I have seen through your duplicity. Fool! Mwah! HA! Ha! HAaaaaa!

The facts that the driver was drunk and on drugs, and Dodi's dad faces massive liability and has a vested interest in an alternate theory should be ignored.

What's el-Fayed liable for?

There is potential liablility to the family fortune since it was his car and driver.
By the way:
"Royal coroner opens then adjourns Diana inquest"
Britain's first formal inquest into the deaths of Diana, Princess of Wales, and her boyfriend Dodi Fayed opened today, a case in which some see a sinister conspiracy but one of Diana's bodyguards dismisses as a "mundane road traffic accident."
Royal coroner Michael Burgess, signalling a broad inquiry into the deaths, said he had asked the London's Metropolitan Police to investigate whether conspiracy theories should be part of the inquest.
Burgess then adjourned the case, saying it likely would reopen early next year.
"I'm aware that there is speculation that these deaths were not the result of a sad but relatively straightforward road traffic accident in Paris," Burgess said.

"mundane road traffic accident"...."relatively straightforward road traffic accident"
Imagine the difficulty in staging a multiple murder in this fashion.

Yeah, its a two edged sword though. May signal, as do the quotes, the amount of merit in the speculation.
I think he's wise for not wasting his time (and taxpayer money) on going through the motions.
When the going gets tough, the tough go to lunch.

When you say it like that it sounds kooky. It is easier to understand the conspiracy once you add the Kissinger/cocaine angle. [with a tip of the hat to Mr. LaRouche.]

They open it to make Al Fayed shut his bloody trap about it.
Then they realise that they can't proceed until Al Fayed has finished raking over the coals in France - he keeps kicking off new appeals, and the French can't release their evidence until he's finished raving about it, so the enquiry gets put on hold, with a bunch of bobbies twiddling their thumbs and speculating on what the evidence might be if they ever get to see it.
Personally I was delighted when the government tell him to sod off. It's typical of the bloody Scottish Parliament to go for it, though - they're no strangers to burning money (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/3327431.stm) for entertainment, and a waste of time like this enquiry is just another bundle of my cash going up the blasted flue.
Bah!

Diana apparently believed that there was a plot to kill her by staging a car-crash. She then remained true to her in-breeding by not wearing a seat-belt.

Don't think this one is the Scottish Parliament's fault - I thought he was trying to get a public enquiry held in Scotland, got refused and is now appealing to the courts. Don't see how you can hold parliament responsible for that.
Surely we have enough to criticise them for without blaming them for things outside their control?

Sorry, it's just habit forming :D
Actually, I see that I need to read up on exactly what is happening, since the coroner in question is based in Surrey. So I absolve the Scottish Parliament of all blame ;)

Yes that Coroner is in Surrey but Al Fayed has also been to the Court of Session to try and force the Scottish authorities to open a public inquiry into the accident.

So we could have a public enquiry and two coroners enquiries going on soon. Into a car crash.

On top of all the official investigations the French have already done?
He'll never get a passport at this rate :D

Why was a professional driver drinking and doing drugs? Case closed its obvious that this was just the case of a stupid drunken driver... yeah except you would have to be some sort of gigantic braying ass to be the designated driver and load up on alcohol and drugs.

Do you think the driver was a gigantic braying ass, or do you subscribe to one of the conspiracy theories? If so, which one?

Of course! Cocaine! Cant we work F D Roosevelt into it somehow?
Perhaps we could do some big-business bashing while we are at it too. Then we could have The Complete Conspiracy Theory (tm).

This was also responsible for one of the most disturbing headlines I've seen recently, in the Times I think.
Clearly fed up with conspiracy theories, the coroner was quoted as saying,
"She wasn't pregnant, I have seen in her womb".
