I wanted to ask Sylvia Browne how she gets over her self-loathing enough to actually go to "work" and deceive people on a daily basis, but there is no e-mail link for her on the web-site. I can't afford her phone rates. Any ideas?

There's really nothing you can do. Even if you did decide to pay her phone rate, you wouldn't get to speak to her, unless you agreed to schedule a very expensive reading.
For my own satisfaction, I wrote her a letter, but of course, I never received a reply.
But I can answer your question for you. Charlatans such as Sylvia and John Edward do not have self loathing. They do not have remorse. Some may delude themselves that they are doing good, but I think most simply chuckle at the "suckers". When other charlatans, like Jim Baker and Jimmy Swaggart were caught, they cried crocodile tears, but they were really only sorry about being caught. None of them offered to give back the riches they gained by defrauding the people. These people have no conscience. That is the real answer to your question.
P.S. Welcome to the forum. What does the Latin in your sig mean?

Well according to my extensive studies in Latin (via a certain Mr T Pratchett) it means "Who watches the watchmen?".

Go to where she lives. Break in and kidnap her. Ask her your questions.

I'm not entirely convinced of this. I used to believe it. But I think everyone has a conscience, except for the insane.
In September 2001, Slyvia and Randi appeared on Larry King Live. This meeting prompted the now famous Slyvia Clock.
During that interview, Slyvia said she was working with the police in New Jersey on a case. Anyone in the know knew she was talking about the slanders made toward Randi by a New Jersey state trooper. Slyvia's comment was a private message to Randi, on the air. Randi did not respond and the viewers had no idea what was going on.
But I saw something after that. Slyvia began shaking terribly. You can see it when she raises her hand to her face for a second. I pointed it out to my wife. So there is a conscience at work in there somewhere.

Or perhaps just a fear that she may have gone too far? Or afraid in case it provoked a strong reaction?

I wonder if Sylvia or her people monitor JREF?
