Suspect shells examined in Iraq (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/3386357.stm)
The shells are undergoing additional tests to make sure, though. They were leaking and were presumably left over from the war against Iran.
Still, surely this find will finally silence the anti-war crowd.
[Damn! I just noticed Mr. Manifesto beat me to the punch.]

as a person who was in favor of forcibly removing Saddam and his regime i must say this is a virtually meaningless find.
sadly, i was duped by the bush administration as to the scope of the iraqi wmd programs. now i just hope for the best out there for all concerned.

Since Bush is known to lie often, I would not be surprised if he simply plants some weapons in Iraq.
Then consider him torturing Saddam and forcing him to claim he was building weapons of mass destruction so the public can eat up the story. The former Clinton would lie just the same for self-gains.
there are very few ideological politicians: most are opportunist and work for self gains, not for improving society.

So, exactly how many chem weapons would Iraq need to possess to be considered 'possessing chem weapons'?
Personally, I consider possession of chem weapons to be possession of chem weapons...
And if Saddam possessed chem weapons, the anti-war folks who claimed he didn;t would be wrong.

I think the question is not "what constitutes a threat" or "was Bush/Blair wrong" at this point seeing as how these few mortar rounds are either the tip of the iceberg or forgotten relics.
I think the question is now, how do we find other caches like this? Is there a way to find them? How can we show for sure whether or not more caches like this exist so we can put all doubt to rest as to who was right or wrong.

Yes, that is the real reason he went to Iraq on Thanksgiving Day. He literally planted those weapons.
