It hasn't been working all day (from which you might infer that neither have I!).

Does anyone know if this is another planned outage?

It's been working for me. But I have noticed there has been very little activity today.

From Administrator crazyfingers: "There appears to be a network glitch that's blocking a lot of users. We're working on it." and "For some reason our subscription to the www.iidb.org domain name was not renewed. It's now been renewed for 5 years. But, it takes time for domain name info to filter across the internet. Probably some time after midnight (EST) people will start to show up again."

Although it is actually alive and well, the Internet Infidels Discussion Forum is temporarily inaccessible for some users.

Due to a snafu (it's a long story) with the domain name registration, iidb.org was dropped by some domain name servers, thus causing it to appear as if the Discussion Forum is down. The problem has been resolved, but it will take awhile for the "fix" to travel around to all of the domain name servers on the Net. We anticipate that all should be well for many users by late in the day (Pacific time) on the 13th, and for most users by late in the day (Pacific time) on the 14th, although the exact timing, of course, will be not unlike a so-called "act of God." In the meantime, please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

Can anybody who still have access give us the IP? Even if the domain doesn't resolve we can probably still access it directly.

Well that's the forum I normally frequent, but since the technical troubles have left me very little to do at work ;) I now find myself here. Hmmm..it's been months since I registered. Time to look around!
