German Police Investigate Potato Computer Scam (http://my.netscape.com/corewidgets/news/story.psp?cat=50900&id=200401121102000272926)
German police are investigating after an angry man returned a computer he had just bought saying it was packed with small potatoes instead of computer parts.
I don't think you could get away with this at BestBuy...

Hey, if you can make a potato power a clock (http://scientificsonline.com/product.asp?pn=3034357) , why not a computer?

Reading further, I see that the guy tried it again, and was then being looked into for fraud.
Nice thought! Buy a computer, strip it out, fill it with potatoes, return it and say "it came that way", ask for a replacement, repeat as long as you can. Sell stripped parts out for many marks.
Oh well...you can't say Germans aren't imaginative now!

I've seen "new televisions" sold on the street that are just a shell w/ bricks inside. Always plug it in first folks!
