Today, I spent 6 hours setting up an art exhibition under the walls of Lancaster Castle. Once lunch time arrived, my co-workers and I decided it might be a nice idea to see if there was a cafe in the castle, only to walk to the gates and notice that it is one of Her Majesty's Prisons.
Anyone fancy a guided tour of one of Northern England's historic monuments ?

I've always said when I eventually get to the UK, I wanted to stay in some of the castles...now I know I can get to do it on Her Maj's Pleasure.
Yipee - free meals and board :p

You guys must do things a little different on the other side of the pond. Over here prisons are pretty distinctive, what with the miles of chain link fence and the towers and the guys with guns walking around.

Can you ask for a room with a view?
