Sorry if this has already been discussed....

Is there going to be any type of special shuttle service from the Tuscany to the Rio on Friday night for those going to see Penn & Teller?

I know there is a free shuttle service (http://www.harrahs.com/our_casinos/rlv/plan_your_trip/free_shuttle.html) from Harrah's to the Rio, but from the Tuscany to Harrah's might be a bit of a walk.

Other ideas?

I don't know how many others attendees are driving in, but I will have my car and be able to take at least three, and maybe four people over. I'm willilng to shuttle if need be, though I suspect we'll manage to organize a reasonable convoy. Is there going to be a message board at registration? Someone can post a meeting time there and we can sort this out in good time.

Another useful thread by dimossi, thanks :). I have the same concerns, but I figure there will be enough time to make the necessary arrangements. A message board in the registration is always a good solution.

I'm driving in this morning and will have 4 spaces for passengers to P&T.

I suppose that Linda and the JREF will figure this out. I'll inquire when I do my volunteer shift at the registration desk.

My husband and me will bring both cars. We can each take three, possibly four passengers.

Chani and I will have our mini-van and can seat five more in addition to ourselves.

So there is 20 seats available for those who need rides and I think a convoy idea is a good one. Just make sure if you are rideless, you find one of those who have seats available.

I'm a walker. Does anybody know if it is 2 miles or less from the Tuscany to the Rio?

It's 1.8 miles from the Tuscany to the Rio--a straight shot west on Flamingo Road (the Rio is 3700 West Flamingo Road).

Assuming the current good weather holds, my brother and I will definitely be walking. My guess is that there will be a bunch of JREFers heading over to the Rio for dinner, because they have one of the best buffets in town (the Seafood Village buffet), as well as a surreal floor show in the Casino (the "Circus in the Sky").

I believe there is a free shuttle from the Strip at Flamingo Road to the Rio. The Strip is not too far from the Tuscany. The walk all the way there might be a bit tricky if I recall as the street basically turns into a serious thoroughfare west of the Strip and the Rio is on the other side of a freeway and train tracks. I cant remember if there is a sidewalk to use or not.

There is a city bus that you can make the whole trip on. Also I will have a few seats in my car if needed.

Share and Enjoy - Aaron

I know that I have walked to the Rio from the mid-Strip (Paris area), but now that you mention it, I do recall something funky about crossing the freeway.

It might actually be simpler to walk from the Tuscany to Harrah's (1.3 miles of easy strolling) and then get the shuttle thingie now that you mention it!
