View Full Version : Texas gov. candidate is a 9/11 truther

Texas gov. candidate questions any US role in 9/11 according to the AP.
Her claims on the Glen Beck show.
I don't have all of the evidence there, Glenn. I think some very good questions have been raised. In that regard there's some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there.
She later reneged.
There is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11, Medina said in the written statement. "I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way.
Beck responded with his usual charm.
There was a theme that ran against you, and that is, you are a 9/11 Truther.

That's two truther scalps for Glenn Beck so far.
Who would have thought Beck would be such a defender of sanity?

Also, Glenn Beck offers to French kiss Texas Gov. Rick Perry. :eye-poppi
After the interview , Beck described Medina's response as "the fastest way back to 4 percent."
"I think I can write her off the list," Beck said. "Let me take another look at Kay Bailey Hutchison if I have to. Rick, I think you and I could French kiss right now."
Eww.
Methinks Beck may be alienating his base. Just look at some of the comments after these stories.

I'm copy & pasting something I posted to another thread here:
The Beck-Skousen connection is not quite as clear cut as some people think. For one thing, Cleon Skousens newphew, Joel Skousen is a hardcore 9/11 truther and member of Rob Balsamos band of casual amateur traitors (http://pilotsfor911truth.org/core.html). While Glenn Beck, on the other hand has hammered the truthers at nearly every opportunity.
Beck has endorsed the view that extremist islam is a threat to the west (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TA1b3Hskb4Q) (contrary to the common truther view that muslims wouldn't be upset if we weren't forcing them to live next door to jews).
Beck, after saying "I can't debunk the FEMA camps" (which he got misquoted on here a lot) brought on popular truther rage-target Popular Mechanics Editor James Meigs (http://screwloosechange.blogspot.com/2009/03/glenn-beck-brings-in-popular-mechanics.html) to debunk the FEMA camps nonsense.
Beck, after the killings of three police officers in Pittsburgh and the killing of a security guard at the Holocaust museum in Washington DC by 9/11 truthers declared that truthers are out to destroy America, which in turn resulted in a lot of hot air about a potential lawsuit by a butt-hurt truther (http://screwloosechange.blogspot.com/search/label/Hoover%20vs%20Beck) (though considering the plaintiffs criminal record, it was possible that this was an attempt to solicit donations from the chronically gullible).
And most recently, Glenn Beck claimed his first major trophy by exposing ex "Green Jobs Czar" Van Jones as a 9/11 truther and forcing his resignation.
Becks own opinions and the content of his program may skirt the outer edge of conspiracism, but the relations between himself and the truthers is effectively a state of open warfare. A war that Beck has yet to lose a battle in (as though anyone could lose against them).
In addition to all that, Beck is also responsible for this bit:

This was a total set up by the MSM to discredit Ms. Medina, and Glenn Beck was the hit man. Greg is dead on. There is more truth behind 9/11 than we have been given, and this is a prime example of it. Don’t stop asking!!!

Glen Beck is a turd in the punch bowel.
Many, many people have questions about 9/11 and see the MSM spin for what it is.
I think Debra Medina may well be the next Governor of Texas.
It's interesting that Beck is not a Truther or a Birther, but the ideas he does have are those that would have more purchase with John Birchers and similar paranoid types I think.
It would be interesting to see whether he goes after elements of the right wing who go on the Alex Jones show for example. Like Fox News colleague Judge Andrew Napolitano, for example. Or does he turn a blind eye to that sort of thing?

Medina was interviewed by Alex Jones here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcoiHkps_0g). I didn't watch the whole thing, but she seemed quite different from him. In the parts I saw, she did not use the term New World Order, although Jones addressed her directly asking questions about the NWO. I get the feeling that she's like Ron Paul on this, one of those Texans who knows how to play that group. After all, if you can't speak to that group, you loose a lot of votes in Texas.
I have also surfed the Facebooks of dozens of Medina supporters. Almost all of them come across like pretty straight patriotic Americans. They may belong to the NRA, but there's no 911 Truth or WAC in their Facebook. My guess is that a typical Medina supporter would just as soon punch in the head one of our WAC friends. But she does need to be able to talk that kind of talk.

She's getting uniform scorn from the right-wing blogs.
Michelle Malkin (http://michellemalkin.com/2010/02/11/a-gop-pollution-test/):
If they want to pollute the air with their “just asking questions” conspiracies, let them “ask” their cockamamie “questions” locked in Alex Jones’ tinfoil-covered studio and leave the Right alone.
Ed Morrissey (http://hotair.com/archives/2010/02/11/heartache-tea-party-candidate-in-texas-a-911-truther/):
This is the same way Ron Paul has played footsie with the Truthers for the last few years as well, and it’s not uncommon among Paul followers. Given the fact that conservatives demanded that Barack Obama remove Van Jones for essentially saying the same thing — something Beck doesn’t hesitate to point out — shouldn’t conservatives rebuke Medina for the same thing?
Jawa Report (http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/200960.php):
Always a good idea to check out candidates before voting.

But of course she's going to get this. She's aiming for the same crowd that votes for Ron Paul. and she's doing it exactly the same way that he does it. I wouldn't vote for her, but then she's not trying to get me to. She's trying to get support from some portion of the people who never vote. Some of those people don't vote because they believe both parties are part of a world wide conspiracy of shape shifting lizards. You've got to talk with Alex Jones and dance around the issue of 911 to get their vote.

A fair evaluation of the evidence points to US government complicity in the attacks of 9/11.
*Physicist Stephen Jones discovered the chemical signature of a type of thermite in samples taken from ground zero. (He was later forced to leave his position at BYU after publishing his findings.)
*Footage of the falling towers shows evidence of explosive demolition. WTC 1 and WTC 2 literally exploded before the camera. Even the portions of the towers above the airplane strike evaporate before hitting the ground.
*The 47-story building WTC 7 (which was not struck by an airplane) collapsed 7 hours following towers 1 and 2. The film footage reveals a collapse that is very strikingly like a standard controlled demolition. I encourage you to watch it on youtube — search for “wtc 7″
Are terrorists intent on attacking Americans at home and abroad? Only a fool would doubt it. But only the willfully blind dismiss out of hand the evidence which demonstrates these attacks were staged.
Please look at the evidence. Watch WTC 7 on youtube. Think independently, and don’t allow yourself to be deceived.
It's a regular stundie-fest over there...:eye-poppi:eek:

The 9/11 Commission report, you know, great sections of that are redacted and they’re top secret. That makes us all wonder,’ well what’s happening back there?’ The same is true with the birth certificate thing. I think it’s healthy that people are asking questions.

She should be very proud that there are more engineers and architects in Texas that believe in CD than there are in New York; the state where it happened.

Come on, stop being so picky. The number is so small that surely it doesn't matter if I am a few out either way.
I have counted a Sewage Engineer, perhaps thats what SE means in Texas!, and also a road engineer and a geotech engineer. But you never know these guys , (no girls) , may have a special insight into the ways buildings work.
Anyway you can count them yourself on our ae911truth website.

It demonstrates the lack of intellectual honesty of the people that compile the list you count from. "SE" stands for software engineer in at least a couple names you've posted and that I've googled.
I bet there are 10 "Software engineers" for every genuine structural engineer in this country. It's too easy to call one's self a software engineer.

No.. all the names according to ae911truth are PE's in structural, civil, geotechnical sewage, roads or something loosely related to the built environment. There are no software engineers in that list.
I have not googled the names because ae911truth have verified the names and professions to be true. We have an extensive checking procedure.
If we made things up then we would certainly have gone for more support than about 1 in a ten thousand.

The reason you have only 1 in 10,000 is because the claims you make are stupid but as somebody said, a fool is born every minute.
