Dr Bob Novak, an epidemiologist at the University Of Illinois in Urbana, said he's also getting more phone calls. He blames the return of the itchy critters on international travel.

The bugs are hitching rides to the United States on clothes and luggage, Novak said.Stupid, dirty foreigners!

And I don't think this was a frivolous lawsuit at all, in fact the award should have been bigger!

There's been a pretty steady increase in bedbug sightings over the last 5 years. (Many in NYC, BTW.)

Some of my colleagues get really excited about this, and always report, with pictures of the bugs feeding on them, a new sighting.

Apparently it's not that painful. i haven't offered myself up for the test, personally. If you are sensitive to the feeding, then you do get sores. otherwise, you might never know that it ever happened.

I really, really hope the folks at TAM II read this :)
