On another forum I put together a post collecting the PBS series "Free to Choose" from 1980. Since that time, Hong Kong has become a part of China. India has become an economic power. China has become an economic superpower. Millions (perhap even a billion or more) people have been lifted out of poverty around the world due to the ideas in this series.

You will recognize some of the ideas in this series in the policies of Ronald Reagan. You will recognize some of the ideas in the series in the policies of Bill Clinton. I would even argue, that Bill Clinton represented these ideas better than Ronald Reagan as far as global trade goes. Milton Friedman's ideas transcended partisan politics and its my joy to share this playlist with you.

I rather agree with you about Bill Clinton's contribution to world wide free trade. I can almost guarantee you that, based on his other economic blunders, that Bush I would NOT have been able to get NAFTA passed as Bill Clinton did.

Chalk that one up for the First Black President, an even lighter skinned black man with even less of a negro dialect, as Harry Reid would say.

The guy toyed with his cigar :p a lot while in office, but he did do some things right, too. ;)
