Does anyone here have suggestions as to how to get around an IP ban on a message board.
Can login to the message board but when posting is tried a IP banned message is displayed.
Ideas anyone?

Uhh, not apart from the obvious: Use another IP. If you use a dial-up service, you will get a new IP for each session.
(psst.. what did you do? Hehehe)

Have a look at a program on your PC called ipconfig, or possibly winipcfg, or similar. Tells you your current IP address.
Depending on your comms setup, you CAN change your IP address.
PS. Like Hans said, what didja do??

Any other possibilities ? anonymysing software or maybe a firewall? Is is possible to fake an IP?

Find a good proxy and use it. Not that hard really. Can be done right here in explorer. Under internet settings-> connection -> lan settings (I think)
Otherwise pages like megaproxy.com (if I recall correctly delivers the same service.

If someone doesn't want you as part of their community, you might try respecting their wishes by not trying to force your way back in.

I have a dynamic IP for my dsl connection, it changes every time I connect. So just try banning me! Unless you also ban everyone else from connecting from Covad. ;)
