Apparently my employer has grown bored with the Myers-Briggs test and now wants to get into Strengths Finder. It sounds like just another simplistic personality test that at best points out the obvious. Does anyone know anything about it?

Personally I think all these sort of tests are woo woo BS.
I've never seen this one, maybe it will be different. ;)

Well, it measures 34 different areas, so I guess that at least makes it 8.5 times as good as Myer-Briggs.

I can't fault your logic. Now what was 8.5 times zero again...

Any company still using any sort of personality test should be avoided. Next they'll be asking;
"Do you know what competency based questions are?"

A company I worked for instituted a personality test for a few months. It was completely ineffective... that, and when I decided to take it for fun I failed it. Guess it was pretty accurate after all.
