Your point? Other than they appear to be saluting with the traditional Klingon gesture?

Malachi, this is not FARK. If you have a point to make, then make one. Stop posting links and pictures with out any comments to represent your point of view. It's quite annoying.

Thanks, Jocko, I knew that salute looked familiar.
Now, if I could only stop laughing.

Sign me up in the old fart's club. I want a point to go along with a post.
To establish my old-fartitude, I shall now proclaim my approval for the way those young men and women are dressed, and the smartness of their haircuts. Look like tiny little lawyers, don't they?
Qapla'! my bizzles.

I thought Malachi said he was _leaving_. Oh thats right, he came back under an obvious sock puppet called "Rationalist" that he used to shill his eugenics theories which I exposed on the science forum.
Glad to have you back as just plain Malachi151. :)

FYI, the salute as shown in the pictures is the old style used if you do not have a cap on, or you are bearing arms, a flag or colours of some sort. I understand this style has been discontinued in the US armed forces for many decades.
We should ask Hal - he will know all about this!

I enjoyed the salute as given by the seamen in Master and Commander : the placing of one's gently closed hand to the forehead, thumb and forefinger in the uppermost position, as if doffing a (non-present) cap.
(Oh, and the Klingon salute reference was priceless!)

Let me take a shot at this Grammatron.
Malachi's point:
The picture shows the fascist indoctrination of the American masses that was taking place even as early as 1899 as evidenced by this picture.
As a result of this early fascist indoctrination, the Americans use of brutal exploitive capitalism and their overall evil and exploitive foreign policies the Americans would come to dominate the world in the twentieth century thus preventing the rise of a Marxist utopia that otherwise would have been inevitable.

...or that was the forerunner to putting your hand on your heart when singing the National Anthem or reciting the Oath of Allegiance at the start of the school day.
*yawn*
So what?
