Woman not smarter than average bear (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/03/06/national/main6272920.shtml)

Police say a bear bit off a woman's fingers at a Wisconsin zoo after she ignored barriers and warning signs to try to feed the animal.

The Lincoln Park Zoo in Manitowoc closed after the incident Friday morning. Police say the 47-year-old woman lost a thumb and a forefinger, and two other fingers were partially severed.

The AP story saying alcohol was a factor was kind of redundant. After all, they already said it happened in Wisconsin.

How long until we're debating the stupidity of the lawsuit?

I find it hard to imagine a Wisconsin lawyer taking the case.

"Gee, hon, weren't you just askin' for it? And all that time in court will mess up my fishin'."

And we all know what is required for fishin'. ETA: Ambitious Wisconsin lawyers move to Chicago.

Note: I am not a Cheesehead, but I come from a long line of Cheeseheads, though I'm from Minnesota and from a family of lawyers. And I take great pride in the fact that, though Wisconsin Death Trip (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wisconsin_Death_Trip) is centered in my family's neck of the woods, no relatives of mine are mentioned in its list of arrests, murders, and involuntary commissions.
