...has finally come to the UK!
From the good old BBC:
Safeway sued over dog injury (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/devon/3409311.stm)
Such negligence, Safeway! Didn't you stop to consider the little doggies' necks when you launched your leaflet campaign?
Don't get me wrong, I do feel sorry for the poor dog, but to claim that Safeway was responsible?
Does anyone else think that this is going a bit far?

I hope full costs are awarded against him for this stupid, time wasting action.
If he doesn't want things put through his door, WTF has he got a letterbox in it!

When reading that post, I was overcome with laughter and accidentally walked into a wall. Please send me £100 to avoid the necessity of taking you to court. Many thanks. :D

All this aggressive talk about libel is making me emotionally and psychologically unstable and I now find it hard to leave my house or eat parsnips.
*****......there goes my sex life.
Anybody got Pete Townsend's phone number?
That'll be 10 grand please.
Each.

This pooch story really made me laugh. That's one stupid Muffin!
I'm glad the judge made the right decision though.

I dont think he made the right descision. He said that because a subcontractor delivered the leaflet that safeway wasnt liable.
What he should have said was "Get TF out of my court and stop wasting taxpayers money with frivolous claims you bloody nincompoops!"

Did he? The only report I've read says he found that there was no negligence.
Would still have preferred your version though, but with the addition of "and get your wallet out to pay the full costs of everyone involved in this case on the way out."

Hamish-
I mistook your Avatar to be an official government placard meaning "Yield to the Sun" so I yielded all morning and afternoon, and when the sun finally set, I had missed work completely, and was consequently fired.
Take notice that I am filing papers with the court, and am suing you for loss of wages, court costs, and emotional distress caused by your negligent post with that confusing Avatar displayed.
p.s. I am also including damages for the nasty sunburn I incurred.
