Story (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/3409359.stm) "Kopi Luwak" or " Civet Coffee" is made with beans that have been partially digested and then excreted by civets.
The animals live in plantations and are apparently expert at picking out the finest coffee berries.
Their digestive systems break down the fruit and then expel the beans.
These are gathered by plantation workers who then wash off the dung and roast the beans to produce a coffee which experts say has a unique flavour. In addition to the coffee's "unique aroma," some say it has aphrodisiac qualities.

So why should anyone sieve through lumps of civet sh#t in the first place to make this wonderful discovery?
I'll stick to instant with artificial sweetener. Gauranteed no natural ingredients .

The article states that the coffee has "a strong taste." Other than that brief description, it doesn't say anything that gives a hint as to what they mean by it having a "unique flavor."
I guess I'll just have to use my imagination.
Then again, maybe not.

I wonder if they'll branch out into a range of nuts. They too can be resilient little bastards as far as the digestive system is concerned.

Yeah, right.
You've all probably eaten mushrooms with little black specks on them and thought nothing of it.

Ahhhh.
Good to the last dropping.
Was that MJB's slogan?
Maybe this is BMJ coffee.

Major caffeine withdrawal symptoms? I know people who wouldn't think twice about it. Which is why I stay away from coffee.

Good to the last dropping. How about a crappuccino?

I guess one of the perks of this coffee is its sedimental value.

It should be fun to see what happens when this reaches the US. It will be fun for Americans to point and laugh as the local yuppies get out of their SUV to buy a $9 cup of "speciality civet coffee for the discerning customer" from the local starbucks, unaware that they're paying top dollar for civet s##t.
